I would definitely not classify the Pierre-Paul pick as a winner, and I would definitely not classify McClain as a loser.

And not including Seattle on the winners list is insane.

Forgot Seattle got Thomas as well. I just think JPP is exactly what NYG needed.

Raiders should have have gone with an o-lineman IMO.

Seattle did a great job.....I think they are the overall leader so far.

Buffalo took Spiller because Lynch is going somewhere else.

Yeah, Lynch is done for there. That may not get much for him, but that doesn't matter. In Buffalo, you need some RB's.

CJ Spiller will be an absolute beast...and playing up north will help him during the snow and ice bowls.

The Raiders did very well picking McClain. Did you watch the same college football season as everybody else Dave?

I thought the Dez Bryant pick was good for Dallas.

I mentioned why I think they are a loser. I don't disagree with the pick and rarely say a team should draft offensive over defense, but the Raiders are completely lost on offense. I think an O-lineman to build around for the next 5 years would have been a step in the right direction.

I am far from an nfl expert though.

I like what San Francisco, Seattle & Detroit did.

WTF was Jacksonville thinking?

Miami won. got the 40th pick (i think) and a guy they apparently were targeting at 12. I have a feeling they would have taken Dan Williams had he fallen 2 more picks, but Odrick will help the rotation a lot at the 5 technique and maybe you don't need such a high profile NT with a great rotation. That seems to be the Fins' philosophy.

Biggest Winners:
1. Seattle - LT to replace Jones. Anchor of the line from this point on. Great pick. Then getting one of the top DB's in the class (let's face it, Thomas could go CB or S). Great job
2. San Fran - Clearly want to run the ball strongly and keep Smith upright. Not 2 high profile picks, but i think we'll be talking about how great a job they did come December.
3. Arizona - Assuming things really aren't FUBAR with Leinart, this is a great pick. Top 15 talent at 26. Building block of a great 3-4 defense.
4. Lions - Suh should be a home run. Best will be good, but the OL got your RB hurt and you QB hurt last season. I'd have addressed that if I traded back into the 1st.
5. New England - I think they pick 9 times from 3rd through 5th rounds. Gonna add lots of depth and some playmakers starting tonight.

Biggest Losers:
1. Jacksonville - Reached for a DT. Not going to be as bad as it could (assuming Alualu stays on the field) but a reach for a position of need with players that make immediate impact on the board.
2. Denver - 2 reaches for fringe players. Taking Thomas doesn't make up for trading Marshall, taking Tebow makes no sense as you already have 2 servicable QB's on the team (both of whom are under 30).
3. Baltimore - had to be pissed to see Dallas jump up and get bryant.
4. Bengals - so many other ways to go with that pick than an injury prone TE who played in a pass happy offense.
5. San Diego - I honestly think that the way things went last night, they could have stayed at 28 and got matthews.

I really like what San Francisco did. Like you said, not high profile but if I recall, the Jets took Mangold & D'Brick with two 1st rounders a few years back and now have the best O-Line in football. With the Niners defense already pretty strong, I think that Singletary will try to emulate what the Jets are doing by playing shut down D, and controlling the clock on the ground.

lets not forget they already had Staley and Rachal

Spiller is used to running behind a weak O-line. I just wish he had gone somewhere where he had a great line for once. I really wanted him in Jax or Seattle.

Oh, and quote of the day by Spiller... when asked about playing in the cold, he said, "I have played in the cold in Clemson and I liked it, it will be no problem in Buffalo."

Exactly! I cant stand ROy e Williams dropping 2+ balls a game when he is getting payed the money he is.

Surprisingly I'd say the Lions have improved their team the most.

Getting probably the best overall player and a dominant force in Suh.

And then the explosive Best.

Obviously whenever teams get two players there is a good chance they're going to make out better than the teams with one but I'd say of the teams with only one, I like Philadelphia going up and getting Brandon Graham. He's a difference maker on defense and a guy that never stops. He should do well with their pass rushing defense.

Losers:

Jacksonville (too much of a reach with Alualu)
New England (all that trading and they only get McCourty when guys like Hughes and Kindle were sitting there)

Denver and Jacksonville were the worst.

Seattle and San Fransisco were easily the best.

I liked:

-Seattle's two first rounders.
-San Francisco focusing on OL.
-Jets taking ANOTHER good corner...wow is that defense gonna be sick
-Chiefs ignoring people who say you don't take a safety with a top 5 pick and taking the most impacting player in the draft. Great stuff, KC.

I don't think the Chiefs got Berry so the Browns didn't get him. The Chiefs got Berry because he was the best player in the draft after Suh.
