Anyone here going to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade?

I watch an hour or so every year but I've never watched the whole thing.

I'll watch it if I wake up in time. I won't get home Wednesday night until late.

I watch our local parade which has become quite an event through the years. It, of course, ends with Santa making his yearly appearance. I used to think that it was too early to think about Christmas. Our family used to go down the road, cut our tree down out of a neighbor's huge field full of terrific trees, and put the tree up around December 23....sometimes the 24th. It was special that way. Our neighbors have had Christmas lights up since around Easter. Some people just leave them up year round now. I think it would be nice to go back to a time when we didn't rush things. Let's enjoy Thanksgiving and then later, we will put up the lights for Christmas. In the interim, we can honor the purpose for the Christmas celebration anyway we choose. For many it is a year round rejoicing but not a commercial venture.

The TV doesn't come on in my house on Thanksgiving.

...morning hours we are cooking and afternoon and evening there are family members over.

It's usually on as sort of backround noise at some point. Never the whole thing.

My wife is pretty gay for the parade so it will be on the tv in the morning. I won't watch it but if I am downstairs I won't be able to change the channel. :)

Eh, I'll likely be getting stuff ready for company so I will be all over the place.
