It's between Louisville and Kentucky. Teague, according to some, is the best PG in the country regardless of class.
Louisville has been his leader for a long time, but Kentucky has gained momentum of late and he could be a piece to the puzzle in a historic 2011 class.
We will see if it really happens.

What's so historic about this class compared to last year's one and done failure?

Why was it a failure? They took a team that didn't make the NCAA and won the SEC, was ranked #1 at one point and lost to a good WVU team. They loaded up with 2 guaranteed 1 and done guys and 2 others who they knew might bolt, plus they knew Patterson was gonna be gone too.
To not even make the Final 4 under those circumstances was definitely a failure.

Once you get past the 2nd round, anyone can win. Not a single team that made the Sweet 16 had a failure of a season.

Were they capable of winning the NC? Yea, a lot of people thought they were. But because they didn't doesn't mean their season was a failure. It's ignorant to call their season a failure after all the success they had.

Its NOT a failure. But UK certainly didn't reach their expectations, which was at a minimum, a final four. Any UK fan would tell you the same. Thats the expectation at UK, period. Cal will get a "pass" since it was his first year. That won't be the case from here on out.

Looks like Teague may shock lots of people and flip to UK. Either way, I just hope he doesnt do this delay BS anymore

It was Kansas and UK from day 1. The talk all year was that Kentucky was clearly one of the 2 most talented teams (with Kansas), and the only thing that might hold them back was youth.
It's comparable to an MLB team trading for a superstar in the last year of his contract. You know you aren't going to get him back, but you make the deal anyways, taking a "win now" mindset. Definitely a disappointment given their situation last year.

The 2011 class could be historic because UK could end up getting 5 top 10-20 players.
The 2009 class was very good, but this one could be better.

I've heard Patterson is making his official announcement tomorrow. If he leaves, C.J. Leslie and Terrence Jones should make their decisions relatively quickly.

If Calipari gets Wroten, Miller and Chandler to go along with Teague and Gilchrist, it will be the highest ranked recruiting class in history. Those are subjective words, and there are a lot of ifs in that scenario, but I'd really like for you to tell me which part of my statement is untrue. All 5 of those players will be ranked in top 20, possibly the top 10, and he will have the consensus #1 and #2 player. If you show me another class that has done that, since recruiting rankings became widely published about a decade ago, I will not speak of it again.

Highest? Didn't know you could go above #1. When they win multiple NCAA titles, and the players produce on the college court..then you can come back and talk historic. Until then, its obviously a great recruiting class. It's pretty straight forward CBF. Nobody said anything about accomplishments. There is a reason recruiting rankings are a multi-million dollar industry now. There is a reason it's a booming industry at the college level. It's entertainment. And according to that, the 2011 class could be the best ever if Kentucky signs that group of 5. Simple as that. It might not mean much to you, but there really isn't anything false or misleading about what I'm saying. It is what it is. This is in-terms of rankings, which is all we have to go on until years down the road when classes conclude their careers.

And you also know better than anyone that with the current one and done rule and with almost every professional prospect leaving after 2 seasons in the college game, it's very unlikely that we have "the most accomplished recruiting class" anytime soon. Gone are the days where classes stay around 3-4 years and win multiple NCAA titles. It has only been done three times in the past 25 years (Duke, Kentucky, Florida).
