Mulva I know they could but they probably wont which is the sad thing. If they traded up they better make sure they can get Campbell I really feel he is going to be great and plus at 6'6 314 and a Left Tackle which is exactly what the Cowboys need. Although I wouldnt be disapointed in Brown either.

I mean Bruce Campbell is still available they could have gotten him or they could have traded up and gotten Bulaga. Hell I wouldnt have cared if they picked Mays or Wilson at 27. There are plenty of good WRs that the Cowboys could have gotten in the 2nd round I mean Im sure Shipley is still probably going to be there now.

I think the Lions and 49ers were big winners here in day 1. Seattle and the Jets had a good day too.
There are still good WR's left? Benn and Tate, possible. A few other Q's after that. Dez is a Q himself, but a great talent. The same can be said about Oline. The guys from USC, Maryland, and the D2 school are still left. There are other G's that are left. Point is, Dallas took the best talent on the board left that was remotely a need. It's not everyday a great talent falls to you. Had Dez not been fucked over by the NCAA, he would have been gone EARLY.

Jerry took Dez because he is Neon Deon's homeboy.

I don't know about that. I got a feeling his interviews went pretty fucking bad with teams for him to fall. Just reaffirmed character issues.

I hope NOT. Too much REAL talent left to take before you gamble on Clausen. Bruce Campbell or Sergio Kendall, Carlos Dunlap, Charles Brown or even Golden Tate before Clausen.

He's a nog, but a good portion of them are. He didn't do anything that bad. Not too many teams were looking for a real #1 in the first round. The one team that was didn't trade up and get him and the Cowboys did.

One of the huge question marks on Dez Bryant is his work ethic. Dude is considered a diva and has problems with missing practices/being late for meetings. Dallas will have to put a similar clause in his contract that the Niners did with Crabtree.

Just posted a story on the Browns thread that teams are likely to shy away from Sergio Kindle. He may need microfracture surgery.

I'm with you. I understand that CB was a position of need and the fact that the league is turning into a passing league, etc. But is Haden really really that much better than the rest of the CB pool in the draft to be worthy of the #7 pick? If the browns were seriously debating between Wilson and Haden, then they could not have been 100% sold on Haden. Why not move back (even if the deal is not all that great) and see if you can get him later? If the browns received ZERO offers, then it makes the situation a little more understandable. I'm somewhat warming up to the pick but he will have to play lights-out to justify taking him so early.

I would've preferred Thomas or McClain. I'm a true believer that you shore up the middle of the field first. We have one serviceabl Safety on the team at this point.

I don't think that ILB is really a concern for them right now. Even if a guy like Brandon Spikes drops to the 5th round you may not see them move on him. A good pass rushing OLB might be a different story though. A stud safety is definitely an area of need, IMO.

Haden is not necessarily a bad pick, but when you consider that there were some league scouts that had Kyle Wilson ahead of him on their board (per Peter King this morning) it is hard to feel you really got good value at #7 when Wilson went #29 for players that were highly comparable.
