Those had no resemblance at all to the unis they were supposed to mimic. I would have been more receptive if they came out and were just honest and said Nike is making us wear these atrocious uniforms so that they can earn some more money from us.
Yeah, but talking to the players right after the Michigan game they said they liked them, and Brandon Saine joked he felt 30% faster or whatever percentage lighter the material is. They liked how easy the uniforms were to get on, the only thing they players didn't like were the shoes, and even then it was only a handful who wore their normal cleats for the UM game this year.
I personally don't like them, but at least the players that were talking about it at the press conference did.

I'm not sure I'd ever use that uniform combo in the game...
but you know there's people that will.
Some people might wear them as their unis all the time

What about all the conference changes that we are about to see... do they hold up the game for that or since I would assume that the new alignments would be for 2012 we are stuck playing this as it would be?

Why would they hold up the 2011 game for conference changes that would take place in 2012? This game (and season) would be the last time under the current alignment. Next year's game (and actual NCAA structure) would be different.

I'm all for the material. If it makes them lighter/quicker, then use it. I was just against those ugly uniforms.

I'm probably going to pass on this game. I've bought every year since probably 04ish. Changes are always minor and I get tired after about a month of the game. I love Online Dynasty but I can't justify buying just for that anymore.

Nice article on changes in the game in the June Game Informer.
http://gameinformer.com/games/ncaa_football_11/b/xbox360/archive/2010/04/23/preview.aspx

Some football fans consider the NCAA Football franchise to be the red-headed stepchild of Madden. When it comes to the game technology, they may have a point. In an effort to differentiate between the two games, EA often introduces new technical upgrades in Madden, only to pass it down to NCAA Football a year later. This year may be the end of the hand-me-down relationship between the two games, as NCAA 11 features the same game-changing new locomotion engine as its NFL counterpart.
Just as in Madden, the new locomotion system improves how players move and react. Recruiting a star player is no longer just about looking at a player’s speed rating; if your cornerback recruit has 90 speed and only 40 agility, he’s going to get burned every time by great route-running receivers who can cut on a dime.
Skilled players can now showcase their electrifying moves by using the revamped right analog juke system – a new feature also found in Madden. Stringing together stutter steps, jukes, and spin moves on a run play has never been this gratifying or easy to execute. To give defenses a fighting chance, the game also adopts the Pro-Tak gang tackling system from last year’s Madden.
One of the chief criticisms we frequently hear in regards to the NCAA franchise is the game’s dry presentation. The commentary of Brad Nesseler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Lee Corso gets repetitive quickly, and many feel the game doesn’t capture the school spirit on demonstration at campuses every Saturday. To ramp up the authenticity, NCAA 11 features full ESPN integration into its broadcast presentation and features more school-specific cutscenes during the game. After big plays, the camera will pan to celebrating fans in the school section, cheerleaders, flag teams, and mascots. The presentation also benefits from an impressive new lighting system created to bring drama to the visual style and the integration of the depth-of-field effects made popular by last year’s Madden.
One of the major differences between college and professional football is the amount of unique offensive schemes employed in college. Tiburon has placed an emphasis on faithfully recreating the playbooks to assure that if your school lines up in the pistol, option, or spread formations on Saturdays, you’ll see it in the game as well. NCAA 11 also marks the return of the popular formation substitution feature, which allows you to customize who is on the field for each offensive and defensive formation. This is especially useful for players who rotate in pass rushing specialists for nickel and dime packages or offensive masterminds who like to move their star receiver around to find favorable coverage match-ups.
Fans of running the no-huddle offense will be happy to hear that you now have access to your full playbook when your team is running back up to the line of scrimmage. This is a major improvement over how the old games handcuffed you into choosing from your small selection audibles.
These aren’t the only major alterations to the game; EA Sports says the game has several more big changes that they plan to reveal as we move closer to the release date. Is this the year that NCAA Football steps out of the NFL’s shadow and becomes a must-play football game in its own right? We’ll find out soon, as the game ships July 13.

Not sure if that has been posted yet, but it makes this game a must have for online dynasty users.

Another thing we added this year is e-mail alerts. You can sign up for e-mail alerts, and you'll be notified every time you get a dynasty invite or your dynasty advances. If a game is played, you'll get an e-mail with a recap of what happened. If you're the last in your group to play a game for that week, you'll get an e-mail to prod you to play your game. And if you're the commissioner and everyone is done, you'll get an e-mail to let you know that you can advance the season. Now you can be as into your dynasty and as connected to your dynasty as you want to be because it's always a touch away. Anywhere you can get an Internet connection, including smart phones, you can access your dynasty. And while we won't have a native app for the iPhone, you just go through the dynasty.easports.com URL on a browser and you have full access.
That is great. No more endless text messages from IMex99. 'Play your game, bum.' 'I was all set to advance then I realized you still had to play.'

EA just posted: Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 demos will be released on Monday, June 14th. By playing each of the 4 match ups, you will unlock those teams Pro Combat uniforms for use in the full retail version of the game. By sharing the demo with a friend, you will unlock 3 more uniforms: VT, LSU, & TCU.

If you guys want a 360 dynasty, once the game is released and the named rosters are completed someone should start a dynasty. You'll have to determine how to decide who picks what team and league rules.
