No, because those presidents all tried to pursue policies which allowed for economic expansion based on free market capitialism. For the most part, they implemented the proper policies so that businesses could prosper and hire people, THEN ... they went golfing or whatever.

Currently we have an anti-business president doing everything he can to make it even more expensive to be in business in this country while millions are out of work ............. and on top of it he is playing golf at a pace that will exceed Bush by TEN-FOLD.

Change we can believe in ............................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look, it's no big deal, Bush changed his mind. Just like the healthcare vote, where our elected officials changed their votes, this is nothing to get worked up about.

If Obama took his dog on a walk, you'd find a reason to complain and use the same talking points.

He doesn't have an American Breed dog.

If I remember his dog is a breed from Chavez's country. Further proof that Obama is a socialist.

Tell these people to quit complaining:

In March, the number of unemployed persons was little changed at 15.0 million,
and the unemployment rate remained at 9.7 percent. (See table A-1.)

Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men (10.0 per-
cent), adult women (8.0 percent), teenagers (26.1 percent), whites (8.8 per-
cent), blacks (16.5 percent), and Hispanics (12.6 percent) showed little or no
change in March. The jobless rate for Asians was 7.5 percent, not seasonally
adjusted. (See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)

The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks and over) in-
creased by 414,000 over the month to 6.5 million. In March, 44.1 percent of
unemployed persons were jobless for 27 weeks or more. (See table A-12.)

The civilian labor force participation rate (64.9 percent) and the employment-
population ratio (58.6 percent) continued to edge up in March. (See table A-1.)

The number of persons working part time for economic reasons (sometimes re-
ferred to as involuntary part-time workers) increased to 9.1 million in March.
These individuals were working part time because their hours had been cut back
or because they were unable to find a full-time job. (See table A-8.)

About 2.3 million persons were marginally attached to the labor force in March,
compared with 2.1 million a year earlier. (The data are not seasonally adjusted.)
These individuals were not in the labor force, wanted and were available for
work, and had looked for a job sometime in the prior 12 months. They were not
counted as unemployed because they had not searched for work in the 4 weeks pre-
ceding the survey. (See table A-16.)

Among the marginally attached, there were 1.0 million discouraged workers in
March, up by 309,000 from a year earlier. (The data are not seasonally adjusted.)
Discouraged workers are persons not currently looking for work because they be-
lieve no jobs are available for them. The remaining 1.3 million persons margin-
ally attached to the labor force had not searched for work in the 4 weeks pre-
ceding the survey for reasons such as school attendance or family responsibili-
ties. (See table A-16.)

People blame the government too often when things go wrong in their personal life.

However, people also praise the government too often when things go right.

goldengonzo, nice to see you here. I haven't seen you post and wondered if you made it over from JJs.

Re this thread: gimme a break. We should get up in arms about bad things but not make issues out of nonsense like this. I want our politicians to take breaks/vacations and rest from time to time. Who cares?

I really don't care about this enough, I guess, to be offended.
Heck, even when our Presidents go on "vacation" it's not like they have a day to do nothing. They still have to deal with the affairs of America.

At the beginning of this country, when Washington would go to Mt.Vernon for a month or so at a time, he still had government officials at his house during the whole time, practically - and that's besides daily correspondence by mail.

I'm very critical of the Presidents that we have, but this is not one of the things I care about.
I guess the only time it could be construed as "bad" is if (pick one) went to play golf after an event like 9/11. THEN we would have something to gripe about.

Yeah, I joined awhile ago, but mostly just read. I've now found myself posting a little more often. JJ was going downhill before they made it pay-to-post and it's refreshing to see familiar posters on this site again.

Breaking News: President does something that every President that golfs has done since the game of golf was invented.

Glad you pointed this out to us, Oats.

If you're going to post every fuck up the guy makes, at least wait for an actual fuck up. The ammunition will be there with this guy, just wait for it and stop making yourself look so foolish.
I'm not a huge Obama fan by any means so I'm not trying to defend him. I just enjoy calling out ridiculous notions. Hell, I defended Bush a couple times on JJ from a couple dumbass theories people were putting out (armedforces).

These kind of posts are just silly. To say anything more would be giving the post entirely too much attention.

I can't remember the article I read this in, but in talking about the golf issue it said that Obama to this point in his presidency has taken 26 days vacation where Bush had taken 69 days at the same point. He might be playing more golf, but he is also taking less vacation comparatively so that is fine with me.

For about the third time, here is the point:

I am bashing him for failing to puruse policies that will help get people back to work, sooner rather than later, and instead pursuing policies that will make it more difficult for businesses to invest, flourish, and hire people ................ all the while out playing golf. I am sure the millions and millions who are out of work are happy about all that.

And if it was Bush, he would be crucified in the press.

I don't see anything wrong with Oats' posts. These are poli boards and it's not like he's the only person in Americsa that hates Obama.

This board would suck if everybody had the same mindset.

Heck, I don't think either mod here can stand me....but I have yet to be banned..which is a good thing.:D

As a golfer, i take offense to this thread.

regardless of my job, golf allows me to relax and free my mind. I'd like the president to do the same.

I preach work life balance all the time. not a problem for me.

Don't hate the man; do not like his marxist tendencies and that he somehow became president of a 'free' nation.

Funny to see this thread. Millions out of work, world tensions high and Trump seems to find his way to one of his properties and golf courses every weekend. It's okay if my guy does it. If your guy does it, he's a marxist.

Make America great again...

Ramming Marxist policies/rules/regulations down the throat of free peoples and a capitalist economy makes you a Marxist. But you knew that.

Trump rolling back the asinine reg's, taxes, and government overreach to put people back to work. But you knew that, too.

obama now out rolling with the Wall Streeters ........looking to cash over a million $$ in a matter of a week or two. But, he's for Main St. LOL ........ the duped still kissing his ass
