Boobie is not waiting in the wings imo. It will just be West getting more minutes or Cleveland going with Moon and a bigger lineup.
Rumors have started that Cleveland wants to re-sign West this summer since his deal runs out next year. They may look to package Gibson with another player to trade for a SG.

I would say that would be the smart thing to do.
