You forget that he asked for a trade... He also begged the Red Wings to take him as he though that was his best chance to win a Stanley Cup. He had a one year deal and done there so why not beg Chicago for an opportunity? He got it and he will be with them for a while. I do have a clue, but Hossa is an idiot. he is right where he needs to be. eventually he will get a cup with the Hawks, but not this year and not in the hear future.

Check your original post, you said he was traded year after year. He was never traded. Your post is completely false which is what I was responding to. Do you think he is the only player who has ever asked to be traded.? That is like any other person looking for a new place to work. Again, he was 1 game away from winning the cup, so the Wings deal was not that bad a deal. He got more money, and was on the favorite to win the cup the next year. He was also smart, very smart to avoid the Oilers. Now, he is on the favorite team to win the West.

He's been traded twice, neither of which was due to anything that he'd done. One was the deal that brought Heatley to Ottawa, the other was the "Let's get something for you before you become a UFA" to Pittsburgh.

He most certainly did not ask for a trade to Pittsburgh, he most certainly did not beg Detroit to take him, and he took a one-year deal because he was anticipating an increase in the salary cap in a weak UFA year that would net him a sizable deal.
