The show starts at 8:00. Reba McEntire hosts.

So, who besides Taylor Swift takes home an award tonight? Any performers that you're looking forward to seeing?

I'll just say that the best country music out there is stuff that will never be up for a CMA Award.

What I would consider to be by far the best country song of the year won an academy award for best original song, actually.

What happened when Miranda Lambert received her award? They panned the camera away immediately and went to commercial in a hurry. Looked from a distance like someone was being subdued.

I was/am a big Brooks & Dunn fan growing up. Pretty sad to see them ending things...

I didn't really start out as a big country fan, but I guess my "roots" took over and I became a big supporter. I am the only person in my entire family not counting my cousin, who was born North of the Mason-Dixon Line. In fact, my family comes from South Carolina on my mom's side and the Virginia, DC area on my father's side. I really like George Strait. There are many artists I like to listen to beyond George but other than Johnny Cash, he may be number one for me. The greatest female country singer of all time who left us way too early, is the unforgettable Patsy Cline.

The sad thing about Taylor Swift is that she is a horrible live singer. It just goes to show you how much "recording" does to a singer's voice. I've always kind of had the attitude that if you can't sound decent live then I would never buy your album. We had a year end choir concert at our HS this past weekend and there were at least 3 girls who were much, much better live than I've ever heard Taylor Swift sound. One was not even close.

Watched parts of it last night. Caught Dierks performance, Brooks and Dunn, and a couple others. But good god, is there a woman out there hotter than Carrie Underwood? She is unreal. Plus, I had a friend in college who went to High School with her, said she used to drink the guys under the table....my kind of woman.

I agree about Taylor Swift. She just sounds plain AWFUL live....off key and the whole gambit....each and every time I have heard her perform live.

It was striking how much difference there was in vocals between Swift and Underwood performing only about a half hour apart. Night vs. day. It will be interesting to see how long Swift's career lasts. She is a great songwriter but can't sing any better than an average person entering a local karaoke contest.

I think she'll last a while because of her cross-over capability she has. She can write a more pop song and have that on MTV for a while, then come back and write a more country song and have it played there. Even though personally, I'm not a fan. There's tons of teenage girls that are.
