When I think of a #2 player on a team who is HoF-worthy, I think of a guy like Pippen, who filled stat sheets on a daily basis while Jordan was putting up huge points. The problem for Mo in reaching "Pippen-status" is that the chances of him being looked at as anything other than primarily a pure shooter will be diluted because of how so much of the offense runs through LeBron.

While this is all my opinion (obviously), I'd look at Mo as being no more important (and possibly less so) than Andy. I'd call them the "co-#2" to LeBron. Mo does the shooting and Andy does the rebounding/dirty work/garbage points stuff.

I don't think comparing Mo to Paxson is completely accurate, but I also don't think calling him a clear-cut #2 is completely accurate, either.
Where is all this if mo goes for 20/10 for a few seasons coming from? He has never done it before and he never will.

You're probably right, he probably won't.

But maybe he does. You have no way to prove with Facts that it's not possible.

That's what we're trying to say. If he continues his career numbers he will not make it, regardless of the amount of Cavs titles.

But if he jumps his numbers you never know.

Playing with Lebron he will never be able to get his ast any higher, so he has no chance of making it

You obviously don't see what we're getting at, so I'm done trying to explain it.

I don't think it's gonna happen either, BUT you never know how things will go, going forward.

Maybe I'll win the Lotto next week. My history with the Lotto shows I've got no shot as I've never won it, but shit can change year to year, or day to day.

i understand everything you are saying. Im a realest the guy has no chance, there is no way the guy can double his assists out of nowhere without his points going down

Mo could put up numbers like that next year if LeBron leaves. Of course, he won't be making the HOF doing that on a perennial 30 win team.

No.

Its a catch 22. He needs better numbers overall but he'll never get that with LeBron controlling the ball the way he does. He also needs multiple titles which he cannot achieve currently without LeBron on the team.

But if he plays solid and wins a title or two in Cleveland as Denzel says in Remember the Titans "You're a Hall of Famer in my book".

From another post on this thread that said if he was a 20/10 dude on a multiple-title team he'd be a HoF'r. I was just saying (in a LOT of words) that IF he did something like that, he'd be a HoF'r, but I can't see him doing that.

Saying you dont know he wont average 20 and 10 is like saying Adam Morrison might average 20 and 10 and become a HOFer. Its ridiculous. The stats are there, people dont just up their totals by that much.
