Yet you've been trolling Browns threads bashing on the team and Holmgren LONG before the Roethlisberger & Holmes situations occurred.

It's funny how the Steelers thread has to deal with someone trolling who isn't even a Browns fan (don't think there have been ANY Browns fans trolling that thread) and WE have to deal with YOU.

The self respecting Steeler fans (Ewok, Non, thavoice and LJ, who is new to me since I joined this site) come over here to talk FOOTBALL. Yes, I'm sure there's a hatred toward the Browns from them, just like most on this thread hate the Steelers, but you don't see THEM acting like daycare got out early and gave them access to a computer and a message board.
THIS, THIS, THIS.

I fucking HATE the Browns and everything else Cleveland just like you guys hate the Steelers and everything Pittsburgh. However, I don't feel the need to go trolling on threads to piss people off and be an annoyance. Sure, I'll occasionally take part in some friendly banter, help get the facts straight and may even defend the Steelers when I see fit but starting shit just for the sake of pissing people off is not my M.O. It's pointless. I know they hate the Steelers and they know I hate the Browns. We don't need to go out of our way to constantly remind each other or prove that to one another. Many of us, on both sides, can be fairly objective when talking about the hated rival. I don't understand why that is so difficult for people or what is so fun about being an ass to people on here when you're not provoked.
That's why I've developed a respect for thavoice. I know he'd rather be kicked in the groin than say anything good about the Browns but he's UP FRONT about it and will talk INTELLIGENT football, regardless of the team. I know he hates the Browns but I can respect that.

You and Non have always been respectful Steeler posters and although I've seen you get your ire up, at the end of the day you're still respectful, intelligent posters. You don't hop in the Chatter Cleveland Browns thread "swimming pool", drop a Tootsie Roll and then move on like others do.

Like I said before, I'd sit down next to you in the bar, buy you a Leinenkugel's and talk football all night. I've seen many a Browns/Steelers battle since the early 70's.
The feeling is mutual. While I've seen film from the early 70's, etc......my personal memories only go as far back as the mid-80's. I couldn't stand Eric Metcalf. "Swivel Hips" used to kill the Steelers. Kosar, Brennan, Clay Matthews, Webster Slaughter, Kevin Mack, Earnest Byner etc. Those are my early memories of the Browns. Good ole Louis Lipps, Mark Malone then Bubby Brister, Tim "Fumble" Worley, Dwight Stone "hands," Walter Abercrombie, etc. for the Steelers. I'd definitely shoot the shit with ya'. Second round is on me.

I saw the Turkey Jones play and Bradshaw beat the Browns more than a few times.

The worst was at Three Rivers. The Browns couldn't break the jinx and one of the games ended up going to overtime. I believe the Steelers won the toss and got the opening kickoff.

The Steeler returner fumbled on their own 10 yard line and the Browns recovered. The jinx was surely over. Not so fast...the refs said NO fumble and this was blatant. I mean a horrible call. If there would have been instant replay, the guy reviewing it would have taken 5 seconds looking at it. Steelers get the ball back and Bradshaw hits, I believe, Bennie Cunningham (Steeler TE) on a long flea flicker to end it. Total heart breaker.

Greatest play ever! :) I have this hanging in my sports room...

Needless to say, the wife, as a Steeler's fan, is NOT fond of me having that 20x16 picture hanging up. LOL

Fun to think back to some of those times. I can't stand the Steelers, but I respect what they have done as a franchise. It's kind of interesting how they have both had their times as great franchises over the past 65 years, but whenever one team has excelled, the other has been one of the worst in the league. My football memories go back to about 1979, so I can remember the end of the Steelers dynasty and when the Browns finally beat them in the Kardiac Kids season of 1980. I've met Dan Rooney before, and he is a class guy.

Was there supposed to be a thread going that had to do with some wannabe running back for the Browns getting arrested?

I seem to have missed it.

Anyway, it's boring.

Let's go back to talking about how Big Ben likes to hang his penis outside his pants while he's trolling for young women to rape.

Too bad he wasn't able to do it quite as well as Turkey Jones did though! Of course..he just slammed him down on the ground..not exactly what I would call a 'pile driving'.

And how Fat Shawn's life dream is to go O.K. Corral in an airport. Another more interesting topic.

Hahaha! Yeah, no amount of pro wrestling training or whatever the hell that PSOX (and yes, I know I fucked up the name) exercise thing you're doing now will prepare you to toss up Ben and Shawn.

Pretty much how my wrestling career ended. Had a 380 lb slob who didn't post up on my leg on a bodyslam so I had to muscle his fat ass up with brute strength. Popped a disc in my lower back and then I cracked it with the ensuing move off the top rope.

Wouldn't want to try to slam either because if I approached Shaun, he might draw a gun on me and if I tried to pick up Ben for a bodyslam he might just like it a LITTLE too much.

I heard the guy in the wheelchair was actually a 70 year-old woman in a wheelchair.

No, but seriously a lot of bars are hiring bouncers in wheelchairs now. Its like an equal opportunity employment thing....

Have heard nothing about a wheelchair but I did hear the reason that Jennings punched him was that he asked the bouncer what the "DTF" name tag meant and Jennings thought the guy was making an advance on him....;)
