09 Lakers, 1 HOF? Don't think so.

But anyways, exactly my point. Players win titles at the pro level in basketball, not coaches.
who is the other hof then?

Wrong there are many great players in the league but it takes a great coach to go along with those great players. Yes you will have your exceptions like Doc Rivers but every other coach on those teams are great coaches.

That's what I'm saying--you're saying they're great coaches because they won all those titles...they players won them, not the coach. They're professionals they know the game, when you get to the Finals, the players do their thing and the better team comes out on top.

Fisher could make the HOF. Gasol could make the HOF.

what is the point of a coach if they do nothing???

Manage the players through 82 games, make adjustments when necessary. But there are plenty of GREAT coaches that never got the benefit of coaching MJ/Pippen, let alone Shaq/Kobe. Doesn't mean they're not great coaches. Which is my point. Phil gets way too much credit for the number of titles.

Fisher could definitely make the HOF. Rings, a good career highlight tape, some good numbers (great playoff numbers) and it doesn't hurt his cause that he's President of the Players Association and overall considered one of the good guys in the league. I would not be shocked if he were invited someday.

Gasol's career isn't over right? He's been very impressive thus far in his career and now he's a champion. If everything works the way the Lakers want it to, he might be part of a team that strings together multiple titles. The Lakers weren't shit after Shaq until he came. Good career numbers, was on a shit team for awhile then got a shot at the big time and only improved his game. Wouldn't be shocked if he were invited someday either. Being a champion Laker gets you mad props for the HOF. Especially when you're a big man, you join a pretty elite crew.

You're just assuming a lot in your list, who knows who may make the HOF and many of these guys still have many years to play.

still dont see how you can say someone who won ten titles overrated

fisher has no chance

Still dont think Gasol has much of a chance to make it

Assuming a lot? besides wade, allen, and pierce who am I assuming? the rest are locks or already in

Because since he has 10, he gets labelled as maybe the best ever and I don't think he's that good. He got lucky and coaches maybe the 2 best duo's in the history of the league.

so your logic = Larry Brown being the best coach of all time because he won it without a great player

Coincidentally enough, Lakers fans invented that too. It was swagger jacked by Cavs fans. No surprise.

And I warned Footwedge last year too, and he said the exact same thing.

Lakers are here, ladies. Tried to tell ya.

The NBA did that gay countdown for every playoff team a few years back, had it plastered on their press row ad boards during the games.

Some just chose to keep using it

And of course, some chose to turn it into a pissing match on a message board

Jacked by Cavs fans? No, it just only makes sense when it's chanted at the real MVP.

The Lakers are here? Not impressed yet, this is what I expected. Only a dumbass casual fans aka ESPN suckers thought this would be a series. I expected them to dominate the Thunder. Anyone who wasn't trying to sell the series, isn't a total retard or didn't just have false hope for the Thunder saw this coming.

Laker fans also originated the science of being a douche bag. So congratulations.
