LeBron out today for Cleveland with a case of MVPitis.
Parker will finally get some rest, Mo and Tawn in the starting lineup with Gibson cleared to play.
Orlando starters will play as they have some positioning in the playoffs left.
Also, some positive reading today http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2010/04/will_lebron_james_stay_with_th.html

I know this game doesn't mean much, especially with Lebron being out, but what is with Cleveland giving up big leads to Orlando? That is what killed the Cavs in the playoffs last year.

This game shows how much Cleveland needs Shaq though. Howard is 6/7 from the field for 17-10.

10 points isn't a big lead and we only lost by 6. Orlando played everybody, I'd say if you can take ANYTHING away from this game (and you can't really), you'd have to say it's nearly a win for the Cavs. 6 point loss to Orlando with without 3 starters and they had to play Howard 38 minutes to do it...sounds fine with me...mallymal614 wrote: I know this game doesn't mean much, especially with Lebron being out, but what is with Cleveland giving up big leads to Orlando? That is what killed the Cavs in the playoffs last year.

I'm impressed that Shaq has maintained his fitness during this injury and has lost 20lbs. Do you think this will help him play more minutes and be more effective in the playoffs?

I think his minutes will be based on matchups.....heavier minutes against Orlando and LA.

One would hope so. If anything its a testament to how serious he is about bringing a title to Cleveland. Maybe he realizes how special of a player LBJ is. Hell if I was a "washed up legend" like Shaq supposedly is, I'd bust my ass like he is if I was on a team with what people consider "Michael Jordan 2.0"pkebker wrote: I'm impressed that Shaq has maintained his fitness during this injury and has lost 20lbs. Agreed. I bet you see the Cavs go hard the last game with their full lineup healthy. You should see the playoff rotation in that game.

That's what they're trying to do, they started trying to win a championship--not try to win 65 regular season games.just_a_swimmer wrote: I don't like all this losing. I think you finish what you start. I dunno. I just don't like it.

I hope your right and I thought so too then we started losing. I am sure it will be fine but I just stated my opinion and yest playing hard for 65 didn't help either. I'll give you that.Footwedge wrote: Nobody likes to lose. But resting players is the right thing to do. That should give the Cavs the best chance to win it all.

I'm not a big fan of the resting either, but some poster on here was talking about how resting players when you get a series of games makes more sense because you have more time to turn it back on. It's not like the NFL where if you show up and play lethargic and out of sync you're done.
It makes sense, and its nice to see Lebron still out there coaching players, cheering his team on, etc...

I normally wouldn't like all this rest, but I see no way that the Cavs will be challenged in the 1st round. They can shake off the rust and be back in a groove by the time the 2nd round happens.
