Incredible ending for the Tigers yet a jawdropping one for the Tribe. Verlander doesn't pitch great and they still found a way to win. The Tribe helped them out a bit but a W is a W.

I agree with you and BR. Problem was...who was left? Looks to me that Acta burned up the whole pen.
That's a different story. If you've used up your arsenal you've got to stick with the closer. I just don't get it when there ARE fresh arms and the manager sticks with a sinking ship.

Remember that Yankees game a few years ago (think it was the first homestand of the year) where we had a huge lead and Wickman or Borowski gives up a game winning HR to A-Rod after the closer blew a 5 or 6 run lead? Those are head scratchers.
In all fairness, every relief guy he stuck in there stunk. The only relief pitcher left was Tony Sipp. And he's been a gas can too.
