Sure it does, clearly he delivered an elbow to Leopold's head. For the final time, watch the video in slow motion.......Sutton CLEARLY follows through with that elbow and leaves his feet. To quote Don Cherry......"back stabber deluxe".
I didnt see the slow mo video. Is it posted here? I kind of skimmed through all the arguing and probably missed it.

The highlights I saw were in real time speed and that is tough to make an accurate assessment of a follow-through imo.

How about changing your avatar to the Buick LeSabres hoisting the cup... Came pretty close in '74 and '98. The LeSabre's motto should be "The one that got away".
Shouldn't you be on the Big Red thread crying about how many home games they have????

I'll try to find it in slow-mo, I DVR'd the game so I've watched it frame by frame.

Just for the record the VS announcers said it was a clean hit (along with nearly everyone outside of PGH). So, whatever that means.

Though Don Cherry agrees with you:)

Nope, don't give a rats ass about Big Red... Just enjoy pissing in their back yard when they piss in mine. Kinda like what you try to do.

In this era of questioning every single ugly looking hit, there was some wonder if supplemental discipline would be in order for Sutton. Penguins' forward Mike Rupp believed it was a suspendable offense, while teammate Brooks Orpik(notes) thought it was just a case of an opponent playing hard. According to TSN's Bob McKenzie, however, the NHL and Colin Campbell don't agree and Sutton will not face any punishment.

Matt Cooke just weighed in on the matter. He says Rockne is correct and Sutton should be banned from the NHL.....

Actually, Don Cherry had little to say about that hit other than Leopold needing to be more careful. I just used his typical saying when describing cheap shot artists

I have a feeling Pittsburgh is going to run through the Sens tonight. They need to come out hard and fast, just like the last game.

Yes, McKee is in tonight, Lovejoy was called up as cover. Leopold is still day to day.

****Edit: Leopold didn't not make the trip.
