Now the cop who took the report has resigned. The article on ESPN also said a 16 year old told the police that his friends sister had twice resisted unwanted sexual advances from Rothlisberger but, the girl declined to talk to police. It sounds more and more like Ben has a problem or is just a terriable person. I hope the NFL comes down very strong on him and if he gets himself in this situation again he should be banned for life.

He "may" be not guilty of some of these things but isn't it kinda fishy that he's been "falsely accused" by two women and it seems like there's a new one coming out of the woodwork every day? I could buy it if the incident seemed isolated but we're hearing of complaints from Las Vegas and now a second one in GA to go along with Reno and the other GA incident. Something just doesn't add up.

There, they're actually trying to make you look like a decent person over here. More than you can say for familywatchdog. Over there they are making you look like a real creep.
Come on guys.....enough with the pedophile slams. It is lame and moronic at best.

I too am a little disturbed by some of the garbage that's being released but again, NONE of this stuff is factual what so ever. Sites like smokinggun.com and deadspin.com have administered the bait and a lot of people are taking it..........hits galore on their websites. These websites and the media are doing a great job at padding their pockets with this story.

I know this is a rumor, but after all this hoopla, I could see it being real, but a few of my friends went to Miami of Ohio, and they said anytime Big Ben would be in town the parties would be on the down low or pretty much nonexistent due to his "reputation" when he went to Miami.

Yeah, I have always heard that Big Ben was a complete asshole, but being an asshole isn't a crime. If he did something that is unlawful, then he should be punished, but I don't agree with a suspension for allegations(and that goes for all players). I wish these athletes would use common sense and know that this shit can destroy them.

As for vailidity of statements from drunks.......Ive done my share of being the DD, or picking up friends. sister from bars after their nites. It is amazing how altered their perceptions are of so many things. They blow out of proportion the most benign of statements or acts.

As for the comment by the girl when said 'i dont think we should and he said oh its ok'

Well...that can be construed soooooo many ways. Guys....have you ever had that said to you? Probably so....what did you answer....'oh its ok".......and then soon thereafter the action starts. Doesnt mean there is rape at all.

but it also could be rape. just because a girl says "no" and then lets you have sex with her doesnt mean you are off the hook. and by "let you have sex with her" i mean, not physically trying to stop you.

Sounds like Big Ben has a habit of being a drunken slob and crossing the line...

However these girls don't want to file charges? Sounds like he also has a habit of paying them off.

This does not look good for Big Ben.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the Steelers at much as anyone but I'm tired of seeing this story. Move on to the draft, give him his suspension, etc. Every day there's a new story coming out (Colon and his "sausagefest" comments, etc).

Roethlisberger is good for tourism, as the bathroom where the alleged misconduct took place is now a big tourist attraction!
Milledgeville Mayor Richard Bentley told our sources that, "Anything that can draw interest to our town and make people want to visit, we would like."

And even though he acknowledges the unfortunate situation, he also added, "If it peaks people's interest about our city, we would certainly welcome them here.”

Here is an excerpt an Atlanta article about the newest allegation against Roethlisberger.
The GBI's month-long investigation into a rape accusation leveled against Ben Roethlisberger uncovered an allegation -- unsubstantiated -- by a second woman that the Steelers quarterback forced himself upon her.

The incident allegedly occurred during a party at Roethlisberger's house in Reynolds Plantation. A young woman not interviewed by authorities claims the quarterback pulled his pants down and told her she could “do whatever she wants," according to the GBI report.
Damn, that is some awful smooth game their Ben. No wonder he has to resort to forcing himself on chicks.

Word on Ben's suspension could come as early as tomorrow or Tuesday from the commish himself. It'll be at least 4 games IMO.

Yeah, I've recently heard anywhere between 4-8 games.

EDIT: Listening to Adam Schefter this morning on ESPN, he said he thinks it will be between 2-4 games. He predicted 3 games.

A couple of hypothetical questions for Steeler fans:

Let's say Ben is suspended for anywhere from 4-8 games. If Dixon gets them off to a 3-1 or 6-2 start, who is your starter when Ben returns?

And...if Dixon is the starter, does this change your draft board at all to get players that compliment his skillset?

1. I dont think they will really draft differently to match his skill set because BR will e the QB for the next I think 5 seasons. They expect to do some work on the OL and a the RB position regardless of the suspension for BR. Mr Rooney already brought down an edict to MT/BA to run the ball more.

Personally I do wanna see a more effective running attack but didnt like that the owner came down and stated that. I always liked how the steelers org allowed the coaches to do what was needed and if they ever did suggest anything it was always in private. I dont like the teams that seem to ahve owners poking their noses into the operation of the actual on the field team aspect such as running more.

If the steelers do come out with a great 3-1, 4-2 start I think that allows the steelers to brhing ben along slower.

Does anyone know...do they still practice with the team? Even if they do tho Dixon will be taking a bulk of the snaps in practice to get sharp.

I really dont expect Dixon to win games when he is out there. IF he does start 6-2 it would be because of defense and the running game and him managing like ben did early on.

1st question: Ben.

2nd question: No.
