I voted NBA Championship because of the combination of money and my favorite sport.

Mentioned this during the Olympics, but nothing could top winning a gold medal and then hearing the National Anthem play while seeing Old Glory raised to the rafters. Absolutely nothing could top that one.

From the choices given, give me the Stanley Cup every day and twice on Sunday. Greatest trophy in all of sports, most grueling playoffs in sports (and best for that matter). Getting to skate around the ice with the Cup over my head would be an unbelievable experience.

This. Me pitching the Pirates to a World Series win over the Yankees even though their team salary is 567 times my team's is my main exercising daydream.

I chose winning one of the PGA Majors...preferably the Masters or The Players Championship.

I don't care about being remembered...but I do care about the money. Last year Angel Cabrera won $1.35 million for winning the Masters. Henrik Stenson won $1.71 million for winning TPC last year.

Those are some pretty good paydays for 4 days worth of work.

As a fan or a player....gotta be the World Series....followed by the Super Bowl. I could care less about the rest of the world, driving cars or driving balls set on a tee and then WALKING.

World Cup for me. I don't know the exact number, but fewer than 500 people have ever hoisted the Jules Rimet/FIFA World Cup Trophy. That's a pretty fucking exclusive club that I wouldn't mind joining.

But you fail to realize that 99.9% of the people in this country couldnt name one of those people.

Whichever has the highest money payout. So, probably one of the golf majors.

That's not a relative factor at all. If I really wanted to do something to get exposure among the largest number of people in America I would do something stupid like go on American Idol or Survivor.

As an individual, clearly a golf tournament.

You could win an NBA title and be Adam Morrison on the bench.

But personally, I'd want to be part of a World Series.

That's not quite accurate. We make up 4-5% of the worlds population.

But yeah, I'd want to win the World Cup.

The most popular regular-broadcast sports event and TV programme is the English Premier League. It is broadcast to 600 million households in 202 countries and reportedly watched by more than 1.2 billion people per week.
From Wikipedia.

And that's just the EPL. The World Cup is the biggest deal in sports hands down.
