Just another case of a pitcher having a GREAT day and no offense as a back up.

But it's a win and a win they needed pretty bad IMO.

Great game by Bronson

8 innings pitched, 4 hits, 1 earned run, 3 walks, and 6 strikeouts..............era of 1.13 to start the season

According to ESPN, today was Bronson's 14th quality start in a row going back to last year.

Also, something I learned only because I was at the game today. The strikeout that Bronson recorded against Pujols in the 4th inning was his 1,000th career strikeout! Lucky I got to see that.

Woohoo! A win is huge considering how poorly the Reds are hitting right now. It has got to get better or they are going to have a bunch of 15-loss sub 4.00 ERA pitchers.

The hitting really is putrid right now.

Bruce hitting .083 is never a good sign...even if it's only 3 games into the season.

Phillips and Rolen haven't looked particularly well either but you know they'll get it going and hit whatever their baseball cards suggest they will. Really need Stubbs to get it going out of that lead off spot.

Pretty impressive job by the starters so far. Even though Harang's numbers weren't great he threw pretty well. Coco looks as good as ever.

I'm still very optimistic.
