Wainwright vs. Cueto
I don't know where you guys typically find lineups. I tried but not very hard.
Good chance it sucks though.
Hopefully Cueto gets off to a good start!

Yeah I don't think the lineups are out yet. Can't wait for tonight's game.
Which reminds me, why on earth does baseball feel that the players need/prefer an off-day the day after opening day? I would prefer one towards the end of the season. It's just something that I always thought didn't make any sense

^^Its done for one reason and one reason only.......the opening day festivities.
Tickets.....the hoopla.....everything. Had nothing to do with the game or rest or anything like that. Game gets banged on monday....it all goes as planned on Tuesday.

Reds are trying to create a new atmosphere for game two...."Opening Night" Special promotion......fireworks....
May be decent crowd tonite because of warmer weather..unless it rains. Most years it too damned cold to sit out and watch a night gmae.
Reds have a ne thing this year...called walk off wednesdays. You get a discounton lettering and such on a shirt...and if that player hits a walk off HR that night of a shirt you bought of his then you get a free replica jersey.

So we can expect t-shirt prices to rise to about $40 on Wednesday nights haha.thavoice wrote: Reds are trying to create a new atmosphere for game two...."Opening Night" Special promotion......fireworks....

Ha. Possible.
Witht he chances of it even happening they should give away authentic jerseys...how many walk off HR's to you actually have...let alone at home...on a wednesday...and you only get it if you bought a shirt of said player that game. I think your more than likely to have the beer and dip n dots, the future of ice cream, vendors hand over their full inventory.

To me that is what is fucked about baseball....I dont mind the good players getting money..but whe you get a guy like that making 2.5 million.....
Thing is...Votto is still under his rookie deal or whatever...he will make alot more as soon as a new one is complete.

2.5 mil is really not that much, under the mlb average i think. He got that after a solid 2008 season. Unfortunately he has sucked/been injured since that deal was signed.
If you look at any team almost everyone is vastly underpaid or overpaid, very few are making around what they deserve.
Joey will prob get a 3yr 20mil type deal that will start next season so I wouldn't worry about him one bit.

Lincoln isn't worth 2,500. Let alone adding 3 zeros to it.
I bet he pitches tonight too.

I am liking Paul Keels on FoxSports Ohio so far. He is so smooth in his delivery. George Grande will be missed, but Paul will do a great job.

Cueto avoids a bad sin of walking Ryan ahead of Pujols by getting an out after a 3-1 count!

Throws a good pitch on 3-2 to Pujols, but he lays off for the walk. Didn't give in to Pujols, good job.

I'll take an inning that doesn't result in Pujols hitting the ball into the river.

Cueto successfully navigates thru the first using 19 pitches. Command looks a little poorer than he'd like.
