Do you guys know how bad weed would suck if it were legalized? Ciggs used to be all tobacco and rolled at home....now they are filled with chemicals and carcinogens. I don't smoke anymore, but legalizing pot would really put the integrity of the current product in detriment.

Can you show me something not written by the govt that shows 1 joint is = 100 cigs? I am not saying smoking a joint is good for your lungs but I am willing to be bet a cig contains more carcinogens. If I am just smoking straight bud off the plant no chemicals added, through a pipe where are the harmful chemicals that are added to cigs? Of course there are natural carcinogens as well. If I use a paper sure there will be chemicals in a paper if I roll a joint.

OTTAWA, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- A Canadian report says marijuana smoke contains more toxic compounds, including ammonia and hydrogen cyanide, than tobacco smoke.
Researchers, including David Moir of the Safe Environments Program in Kitchener, Ontario, determined ammonia levels were 20 times higher in marijuana smoke than in tobacco smoke, while hydrogen cyanide, nitric oxide and certain aromatic amines occurred at levels 3-5 times higher in the marijuana smoke, Science Daily said Tuesday.
The study was published in the Dec. 17 issue of American Chemical Society's journal Chemical Research in Toxicology

Those other studies don't take into account any benefits from the THC so it's likely less harmful than they would like you to think.
We aren't arguing that it's good for you or that it can't cause cancer or that you should be allowed to drive while high. But I still fail to see why marijuana is especially worse, or worse at all, than many other completely legal substances.

And you wouldn't be at risk for lung cancer or asthma if you didn't smoke marijuana. Which isn't the only way to use it.
