Ok...true story...
There's a family that i know through a mutual friend who has an Autistic(sp) son. He's 21 years old and stays at home by himself while his parents work and they call home several times a day to make sure he's doing alright.
The other day the mother calls home and asks "johnny" what he's up to. johnny says "nothing really, not doing much, but i did catch a leprechaun today" the mom is concerned because apparently he's had spells of wild acts in the past.
Mother phones the father and tells him what Johnny said. Father asks the sheriff to come to his house with him to see what Johnny has got himself into this time. Father and Sheriff walk in the door and Johnny is playing video games on his couch, the dad asks him what he's doing and if everything is OK. Johnny responds "everything is fine, just playing some video games, but i did catch a leprechaun today".
Upon being asked Johnny tells dad and sheriff that the leprechaun is in the closet. Dad runs to the closet and opens it up. Inside the closet he finds a frantic midget who says "Sir, i work for the census bureau, i knocked on your door, your son answered the door, wrestled me to the ground, and locked me in this closet. He's been feeding me skittles under the door for 3 hours". The gentleman says that he doesn't wish to press charges he just wants the hell out of there.
Hilarious enough in itself, but the topper is that the kid was sliding skittles under the door to feed the midget as he held him captive in the closet, and the leprechaun/midget thing is classic. I'm sorry but a buddy told me this story last night and i had to share it with the fellow huddlers.
Still trying to find out if the midget ate the skittles.

I heard the same story two weeks ago, and the kid said he caught a troll. It's a BS story.

Just like Brutus, I heard this a few weeks ago but with a troll instead of a leprechaun. And he wasn't a census worker...he was a midget Jehovah's Witness.
I, too, was bummed when I found out it was fake because it was such a funny story. Especially because my fiancee's brother is autistic...and I pictured him snatching up the midget and laughing that he caught a troll/leprechaun/whatever!
Funny stuff...but not true.

Heard this story from the leprechaun I captured today; right now he's in my closet saying he can't believe he has to go through this again.

i called bullshit at first but then figured i'd give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but thanks to the huddle nation, what sounded too good to be true has been found to indeed be untrue.
i feel foolish for buying in. Haha

Heard it twice last week from a couple of high schoolers In the account I heard, the kid was throwing Skittles at the leprachaun.
Fab-Thanks for the link. I'm going to use it to prove to a couple of high schoolers that it isn't a good idea to believe everything you hear.

All of you heard it after I finally got out of that fucking asshole's closet! Fucking dipshit could have at least slipped me Lucky Charms under the damn door! The only reason I was "frantic" when the door was opened was because I was in Magically Delicious withdrawal...

I also heard this 2 Saturdays ago. The one I heard was a Jehovahs Witness also. The story I heard he was captive for a cpl days. I kid you not the story told to me happened in Massillon. (not that that made me assume BS alone)

Someone actually fell for this? That's what makes this story funny, because the actual joke isn't all that funny to me.
Fly4fun's post is what makes this thread funny.
