Between the 8 of us at the family cookout we put to rest a 10lb er. I can't drink enough beer to quench my thirst so I have switched to water. It was one of those honeybaked ham company hams and it was fabulous. I am having ham again tomorrow at the grandparents and probably take a sammich to work on Monday. That will do me on ham for a good while that I know.

None yet. I don't know what is on the menu for tomorrow but there better be enough ham that I can eat myself into a meat coma.

That's what we had too. Gf asked what I wanted, I said cheap steak so she got some top sirloin steaks.

I trimmed some fat off, pounded it with the meat hammer just a tiny bit, seasoned with seasoning salt, garlic and a pepper mix and then grilled them to a nice medium pushed medium well. Probably one of the better tasting steaks I have ever cooked surprisngly.

Not a big fan of hog unless it's in the form of bacon...or pork rinds. I'll eat it, but there's generally too many other options at holiday events that it doesn't take center stage for me.

The only reason I didn't check the 2 pound choice in the poll is that I didn't want to seem like a total pig. I have eaten over the remains in the kitchen last evening and this morning I continued as I stacked the last of yesterday's dishes in the washer and cleaned off the island and table tops and dumped the trash. I'm fairly certain that my ham consumption can't possibly be over 1.999999999999 pounds, so I am still ok regarding my poll response.

None so far. I'll probably skip the ham and reach for the turkey later.

If a ham is made good, which I for one am a big fan of the brown sugar flavor, I enjoy it much more than Thanksgiving turkey.
