They're talking about it being an off the field issue that resulted in this on Yappi... I won't go into it because there's nothing substantiated so it's all speculation.

Will this hurt their team that much? I'm sure the NBC schools would love for Louisville to not steamroll everyone year in and year out anymore.

Doubt it..I don't see this effecting the team much..if at all. He had a great bunch of assistants.

The only way this will hurt the Leopards is returning and upcoming players being disappointed with the actions of their former head coach. If the new coach sticks with present philosophy and the assistants stay on, all will be well. Paul knew football but wasn't one to burn the midnight oil, he had people to do that for him. Let's get past this sad end to an era and move on to greater things!

I do find it quite funny how the L'ville people are so ticked off that the reasons as to why have been let out and people are discussing it. What the hell did they think was going to happen? Do they not understand he is a public figure? His salary is paid by the public's tax dollars correct? The public has a right to know what this guy was doing while he was coaching their kids.

The Louisville people are ticked off at their former coach and are embarassed by his actions. We would like it to just go away and move on to the next chapter. I know it will continue to be a hot topic because there is a segment of our society that relishes in other peoples dirty laundry. Go ahead and get your jollies, but remember the Leopards will be back next year as strong as ever.

Would Kopachy from Salem, the Div III COTY, be interested in this job? What a fit he would be.

Who are some others?

Kopachy has lived in Salem for quite a while, even when he coached at WR... and with a family and all he is most likely happy where he is.

But, you never know. He is still young, so I'm sure he'd pick up the family and move if he had to. Unless you're 85 years old and/or deal meth, Salem doesn't have too much to offer.

He has additional motivation too in that he's pretty angry that Salem will be the smallest school in the NBC in 2011... well, the largest one just had a position open up.

Long story short: I highly doubt he would... but if he does, I would get it.

I'll tell you one thing, it's not like he raped someone or had a relationship with a student. I told you that, to tell you this, if he want's to be an OC at my school, I'll take him.

I'm going to throw another name out there how about Malvern's Dave Tucci. The guy is a proven winner and I feel he would be a great fit at Louisville, but the questions is would he ever leave Malvern?

They will be hiring from within. Big sponsors say they will not support the stadium if a coach is not hired from within.

Top canditate is Troy Davis. The linebacker coach.

Free_is_better- please tell me that you are joking about this!? I would think that the administrators and people of Louisville are smarter than to let the big sponsors dictate which coach they hire!! I mean that would be just absurd!!!

UNFORTUNATELY THATS EXACTLY HOW THAT CITY IS, SO FOR HIM TO SAY THAT, IT'S NOT AS FAR-FETCHED AS SOME WOULD THINK.

Nope, the only way they do that is to drop Louisville and pick up ANOTHER Canadian school....or D.C. school....or someone lower than Division I.
