Sleeping. I’ve been on night shift for over a decade. I work three nights a week and the nights I’m off are a shitshow. Usually go to bed around midnight, up at 4am unable to go back to sleep. I always have to nap in the afternoon to catch up. I’ll take vacation time in the summer and can usually get back on a normal schedule during it. I have no idea what it’s like to sleep through the night anymore. I’ve tried melatonin, Zzzquil, Benadryl, Tylenol PM, even been prescribed Trazadone. Nothing helps.

I completely sympathize. Midnights for me, too, in ER.

Where I differ is that I *have* to keep my sleep hours all the time or I'm really struggling at work. Especially with all the online course work and webinars we have to keep up with!

My college coach would probably have said "football".

Of course my comeback for him would have been "recruiting".

How about now?

Oh hell yes. I used to bomb those with my neighbor in the middle of the street. Could go almost half the block.

Update: Friend had a football on the beach this weekend. Still can't throw for shit. BUT...I can punt the fuck out of a football.

I have the worst handwriting in the world. I was blessed to be born as a millennial when computers started to become more commercially available and affordable.  My handwriting was so bad that my 5th grade teacher made me do all of my assignments on the computer, which was not the norm in 1998.

Edit: There are still times now, where I write notes at work and when I look back I can’t even decipher it.

I have this problem as well. If I write slow it's legible, but if I am taking notes and writing fast the wheels fall off.

Also my "signature" varies wildly every time I do it. It doesn't even resemble my name.

Yeah, my handwriting is also shit when I'm writing in a hurry. It's pretty good when I take my time (not to brag, but I did win a Chinese calligraphy contest back in college), but I very rarely take my time.

Nah, it was a lot more than that. The Chinese lady running it was pretty shocked at how good my entry was.

Grand prize? A gift card to the Chinese buffet in Marietta. I was stoked.

My handwriting is so bad only me and my wife can read it.

And if its been awhile, like a few months back in my work notebook, even I have trouble reading my own at times.

I am also absolutely terrible at ANYTHING artistic. Drawing, painting, etc.

I have no idea what colors match when putting on clothes. My wife literally picks out what I wear most days. When I travel for work (often) she will put the shirt/pants I am supposed to wear together so I know which ones match. I wish I had the excuse of being color blind, but I am not.

If she ever dies I will need to invest in some color wheel that lets you know what matches and what doesn't.

I am also terrible with most "handy man" things. Fixing drywall, electrical, cars, etc around the house. I can mow, weed eat, trim hedges, etc and that's about it.

EDIT: Remembered another, terrible at empathy, but working on it...

I can’t do any of that stuff.  I grew up with a dad who wasn’t handy, so I never learned nor developed confidence.  I don’t even really have curiosity about it.  So when someone tells me how they built a deck or ripped a bathroom out or tiled a room, I have to focus very hard to even pay attention to the conversation.

Same.

My oldest son is the exact opposite. Electrician, can fix cars, build decks, etc. no idea where he got it
