Took my wife to a Duke basketball game last night. I’m not a fan, but it was awesome to watch a game at Cameron Indoor.

Solid

Have a couple trips planned this year but we’re going to Niagara Falls for a family reunion in July which I’ve been to many times in my life as that’s where my parents are from. My dad is actually a big Bills fan.

We’re stopping in Pittsburgh on the way there for a couple days. The hotel I booked is walking distance to Heinz field. It actually looks like a nice area but it’ll still feel like enemy territory.

Pittsburgh is way way nicer than I ever thought. Everything between Heinz and PNC is good.

My 2024 highlight thus far: I went to Kroger and got a box of Golden Grahams

It’s a lot of work. My wife and I celebrated ten years last month.

Shit, mine crapped out after about 4-5 years.

Yes. 24 years 3 days ago, but at year 13 we almost got a divorce.

I think part of the problem was the pastor that was at the church we got married at did our pre-marital counseling in about 30 min...his literal speech was "you guys both grew up in church, you will be fine".

Which was about as good as my father's "birds and bees" talk the week before our wedding...it was a one liner "just don't hurt her".

Some marriage counseling in 2013 on conflict resolution worked out well not to mention the idea of what makes each feel loved (think love languages but not really).

My wife and I celebrated 23 years yesterday. I have now been married for more than half my life.

We will periodically go to the Rivers Casino and that area near the stadium is pretty cool. Only drawbacks are the streets are like a maze and the homeless dude always standing by the stoplight hoping to cash in on people leaving the casino.

Afraid so, thanks for the kind words.

I hope you are doing ok.  It will be 32 this October for my wife and I.  The "D" word came up several times for us from my wife.  Nothing major just got married young.  Been together since we were 16.  We have grown closer now then at anytime in our relationship.  Anyone who says they have the perfect marriage is full of shit.  Its a lot of work and sacrifice.  It takes two to marry and only one to end it.  I am sure you have many friends and family around you.  Take care.

Ok…big stuff here. 😁

Last night had whole family at Malibu Jack’s in Ashland KY (WOW what a place)

Anyways in the arcade/game area I found a baseball throwing speed/accuracy game that gave you 3 throws and had a point system based on your accuracy x your pitch speed. Not sure how often they reset the high score but I nailed the bullseye with a 67.6, 68.2 and a 68.9 mph throw to walk away with the high score (yes this was on my 5th game out of 8)….but as a 49 year old who never throws, wasn’t loose and didn’t have good follow thru room, I was surprised I could touch 60 mph still.

Arm and should seem ok today, still waiting for it to kick in.

Middle age businessman bought the old mall in Ashland and turned it into a Super Clean Arcade, amusement park, laser tag, huge food court, bowling alley, putt putt, race car track. Connected in the walkways is a great pizzeria and Smokin Jay’s restaurant (which catered my daughter’s wedding) it a 10/10. Also connected is a bar with 6 simulator bays with over 50 games, 2 big party rooms and a Casino. I was incredibly impressed and will definitely be returning. It was so spacious being a former mall and everything was high end, not junk cheap stuff and super clean.

Looked like a good pitch, good delivery. I was impressed. Was hoping for another fraction of an mph, but it was close enough.

The follow thru felt like you were going to slam your knuckles into the machine. Was all arm basically but that fast twitch and sling still there.

I just kept playing….I strangely felt it most in my outer lower most hamstring area on my 3rd throw in game 1. Made me nervous but I kept going back lol. I tore up the 3 point shootout and football toss game so I felt like a true life overage, out of shape gym teacher lol.

Great news man. Congrats. Are you pushing 40?

My vertical is about 8 lol. I hope your son/daughter goes on to win the Olympic silver in the high jump 😁
