Bernie calling out the Dems

https://x.com/BernieSanders/status/1854271157135941698

Bernie is a pussy. He bent over two primaries in a row for the Dems, and now he wants to act like a tough guy.  He political movement has always been trash.

There are certainly legitimate arguments against Trump, but I am not sure this is the strongest argument, considering the fact this current administration has been a puppet regime for 4 years.  Kamala and Walz will clearly continue to be a puppet regime for another 4 years.

Also… spare me the BS that republicans care about made in the US. Couldn’t be further from the truth.

All I see is another strong argument for less government, which for some reason is laughed at even though  the majority of both sides will tell you how the opposite party  does not give a fuck about you.

Comedian calls Puerto Rico garbage, libs lose their mind.

Not to be outdone, Biden decided to call all Trump supporters garbage.

Not only does this kill the PR news cycle (which was grasping for straws), it also took away from Kamala’s closing argument speech, which was one of her best speeches.

Why was Joe even broadcasting anything yesterday?  He keeps doing things that makes you think the revenge of Jill is real.

I am surprised to see BR the only one to mention Donovan in this thread.  I knew his health wasn't well, but that was a gut punch to see the news.  I am glad they got a win in his honor.

Dems seem to be a little better at closing ranks or cajoling dissent.  But if they had a narrow majority in the House like the Repubs had I think they would also struggle with their far left radicals holding them hostage.

But also a bit of a red herring because nothing purely partisan in the House is getting past the filibuster in the Senate.  Except both parties have done big things via budget reconciliation, which is bullshit.

They are A LOT better at it.  I always give them credit for it too.  Nancy is an all time politician, and I am wondering what the impact will be when she leaves.

I'm not part of the crowd that says Trump is Hitler, but even you, Mr. checks and balances, have to acknowledge, he will not have as many people around him to tell him no.

He has surrounded himself with yes men.

If Republicans control Congress, there is little evidence recently, they will check him.

It’s not guaranteed they take the house if Trump wins, and even if they do it would be a small majority.  That right there makes it nearly impossible for Trump to shove everything he wants down our throats. Never mind that though, it was less than 2 years ago, where everyone had a good laugh the the Rs go through numerous rounds to elect a speaker.  Clearly the GOP is not aligned on every single issue, yet somehow Ptown thinks in just two years they will magically all be yes men to Trump.

If Trump wins, I really need to get in on this fear porn grift. I could have retired by now if I went all in back in 2016.

Anyway, good move for the Dems to whack Biden (anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional) and force down a candidate that nobody would have voted for in a real primary. The media will do their best to paint Kamala as another Obama movement, and I think she will do better than Biden, but Kamala has the same problem as Biden. The only real thing going for her campaign is Trump (sprinkle in her sex and race).  I could obviously be wrong, but if their entire strategy is orange man is bad, I don’t think the result will be any different than if Biden were the candidate (which was his strategy).

You have a really weird obsession with wanting people to admit they’re wrong. Notice how no one else gives a shit?

I think when someone smugly defends their take as 100% fact for 3.5 years, they kinda deserve to be called out for it. I expected nothing less than the spin coming from moderate ptown though. Gotta respect the game.

Biden will announce he's dropping out, and then hours later forget he said it and the WH will walk it back.

Pretty much a Seinfeld episode.

It isn’t like she’s the sharpest knife in the drawer.

lol did Biden really introduce Zelensky as Putin?

This media turn is one of the craziest things I’ve seen. They tried so hard to pretend it wasn’t happening and then after one bad debate they all start spiraling. More people are coming out who were at the Juneteenth thing and saying he was clearly off there as well (as well as other events). You really can’t hate the media enough.

Just wait another 2-3 weeks when they do another 180 after accepting that Biden won’t step down.  By August we should hear about how fit Biden is to be president.

Biden isn’t dropping, but if he does he should resign immediately. Not fit to run for election, but fit to remain president? Doesn’t add up.

The problem with replacing Biden, perhaps even if he willingly steps aside, is people will feel it was orchestrated to deny them choosing the candidate in the primaries.  But at this point, might be the only way to save the Dems in the House and Senate.  Barring some surprise - which is entirely possible, especially with Trump - I think Trump will be POTUS even if the Dems nominate someone else in the convention.

Because now it must be clear, even to people like Ptown, that Biden is incapable and has been for some time.  And either the people actually running the country thought they could prop-up their figurehead for 4 more years, or replacing him with their hand-picked candidate was the plan all along.  That just won't fly with the margin they need to defeat Trump in the swing states.

The other problem with replacing him is the fact the Dems would essentially be admitting that they were gaslighting public for the last 2 years regarding Biden’s health.*  This is why I see 0 chance of Biden being replaced.  I also find it hilarious for those who cry Trump is a threat to democracy (even though he was voted out), yet those same people now want Biden to be replaced and put up whoever they want via superdelegates. A candidate wholly unelected by their base LOL.

*This was very obvious to many people, but apparently people like Ptown bought into it, or tried their hardesr to amplify the gaslighting.

I mean one calls them “the blacks”, the other “super predators”, but sure, “the blacks” is far worse.

If Biden hasn't also referred to them as "the blacks", he definitely takes their vote for granted.

Still funny to watch Geeblock say "I'm not voting for racists".  Exactly.  All the Dems have to do for your vote is convince you the other guy is racist.  Nothing more, nothing less.  You get the representation you deserve.
