I want you to take a good look at this thread. The only UC fans that post on this board that I am aware of Goosebumps, 3reppom, Dave and me (thee is also a person called bcubed but he/she has not posted on this thread yet) Last year you did not year trash talking from either of us. I have a hunch that when the season comes around and UC wins its first few games in convincing fashion, you will see some people come out of the woodwork claiming to be UC fans and talking a lot of smack (ie. FrankPaTang or whatever he called himself). Please note, that person does not speak for UC fans. In fact, my hunch was that individual was a Michigan fan who just liked to rile up OSU fans.

That being said, if UC takes care of business next season, then by all means will I believe this team could compete with OSU. Maybe we'll get to see it in a bowl game in 2010.

Don't worry about pick 6 and others like him Little Danny. They can't stand for OSU not to be the talk of the state.

I am very excited to see this team under coach Jones. I believe by the end of next season most of us will be happy that Kelly left for ND.

The more I see and hear Butch Jones talk the more impressed I am. Just check out his blog, he's creating a family environment and inviting back any alumni who wants to come back. Much different than what UC is used to. Kelly got it started, but Butch has taken it do a different level. I can't wait to see what Collaros will do in butch's offense with these wideouts. Plus Pead is there to mix it up.

It's okay to be jealous of our football team too. We would have been pretty good last year but Kelly stole some of our recruits. I think they followed him to ND actually.

Can I ask the UC fans an honest question? and this is not sarcasm or trying to be a smartass. When is cincy going to focus on a run game? It's great that you got yet another awesome receiver, but you already have several. Why are they not focusing on getting that quality of player at other positions where they need it more than they do at a position that they're already stacked at?

Butch Jones runs the Football much more frequently than Kelly ever did. Collaros and Pead will make for a very dangerous run game on the read option. The strength of the team is at receiver with Hazelton, Binns, Wood and now Thompkins and Lewis but Isiah Pead is too explosive to be neglected to the degree that Kelly. The offense will be more balanced than it was under Kelly.

I have been to UC's scout page and bearcatlair and all the websites that i know and couldnt find anything on how the spring is going outside of a couple of injuries. How is ZC doing with this new offense ? Has he improved?

UC did not run the ball alot the past couple seasons when Pike was under center. Isiah Pead avg. around 10 touches a game. However, during the 4.5 games were Collaros was under center the rushing numbers were at their highest. I think Kelly played to the team's strength when Tony was the QB. As 3reppom noted, look for UC's rushing #'s to increase this season. From what I hear, Pead has gotten a lot bigger and stronger and Darrin Williams has been impressive in Spring Practices.

There have been some articles regarding the QB position and Coach Jones has indicated he is impressed by Zach's athleticism and decision making. That being said, he indicated Collaros needs to get a lot better. I take that to mean Coach Jones has high expectations for #12 and this offense. Here is a link I pulled off another site:
