The whole arena singing "O Canada" at the top of their lungs was a pretty amazing scene.

That's what I was thinking. Stinks they lost, especially since I thought they might have the momentum on their side after tying the game and sending it to overtime that close to the end of regulation. But Canada showed a lot of poise and heart and essentially seemed to control the puck nearly all the OT until scoring.

Great game. Makes me wish the NHL postseason was starting now instead of me having to wait through another month or two of the regular season.

US hasn't really had that polarizing, great player like a Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby, etc.

I think we're still waiting on that guy.

Patrick Kane really seems like he is going to develop into something special. Not saying he will Crosby or Lemieux-esque but he definitely has some special speed, athleticism, and goal scoring ability. He really looked like belonged out there

Biterweet moment for me right now. Even tought Sid is my favorite player, my heart was for team USA this entire Tournament and I never doubted them for a second..............

Great game just not the ending we all wanted. Miller was great and made a couple of huge saves to keep the US in it. But he most definitely wants that last goal back. Great pass from Iginla to set up the goal from that pile of crap Crosby. Just got done saying I don't care if Canada wins as long as it's not Crosby and he scored 10 seconds later. I hate him so much.

No one expected the US to medal coming into the tourney, beat Canada, get to the gold medal game, and take the game to OT with a great, gutsy effort against the eventual winners. Great to see Miller be named the MVP of the tournament as well.

haha, I agree. I just can't take the whinning. It's too much and it's something you never really saw in hockey much in relation to other sports. Crosby takes whinning to another level, esp. when he whined to the refs about Caps fans throwing hats on the ice when Ovi scored a hat trick. That's an all time low.

I admitted that he whined a shit ton during his rookie and sophmore seasons but, he's not a huge whiner anymore but he whines a little. Considering that he's the youngest captain to ever win a Stanley Cup and he scored the gwg for Canada who cares if he whines since he's so clutch.

Dude watch it on YOUTUBE and in the press conference Cindy even addressed it, they asked him what he was saying to the ref and said he was in fact asking the ref if he could make an announcement to stop throwing hats b/c it was going on for too long. I guarantee you, 100% that's THE truth.......

That was blown way out of proportion and he was right, they clear the ice and those idiotic Caps fans threw more hats out. Again, haters like strapping who root for a team that hasn't won anything forever make more of this than it was, you act like he was jumping up and down like a baby. BTW, I never said he didn't make a request to the ref, he NEVER pouted about it like you make it out to be.

Have you ever seen a ref announce anything to the fans let alone to stop throwing hats b/c someone on the other team is getting annoyed??? FUCK NO!!!! I like how the ref basically told him to fuck off. He probably said "whiny-ass vag" under his breath as he skated away.

Love the Pens and Crosby... sad to see the US lose though but it was great to get the silver when we weren't expected to get anything.

Now, with calling Crosby Cindy... I don't want to laugh but I can't help it, it is funny. Reminds me of a buddy that calls Marion Barber, Marion Babera... I can't help but laugh.

Crosby is arguably the best player currently in the game, and will likely end up being considered one of the best ever to play.

That said, only a blatant Penguin homer would deny that he's a bit of a pussy.
