With the 52nd pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select
Donovan Warren, CB, Michigan
The Steelers drafted two cornerbacks last year in Keenan Lewis and Joe Burnett so they may hold off depending on who else is available.
I think some of the other players they would consider are gone in this draft, such as Maurkice Pouncey and Eric Norwood.
Norwood is intriguing. He's been an outside linebacker/defensive end and compiled 29 sacks at South Carolina. But there is a small minority that believes he could convert to inside linebacker. I think the Steelers may be in that minority. They love linebackers and I'm sure they'll love his passion, attitude and motor. Their other two inside linebackers, James Farrior and Lawrence Timmons, both played outside in college so you can't always go by that.
Another option here is Daryl Washington from TCU. Similar to Timmons in that he runs well but maybe a tad undersized coming into the league.
Warren improves their weakest area, though. He's 6'0 and has the long arms, fluid hips and the ability to break on the ball and make some plays. He improved each year at Michigan and still has good upside. He could potentially be a shut down guy, according to most scouting reports.
