Well if you payed attention you would have noticed that the west had trouble throwing the ball in so Melo wasn't exactly in the greatest spot when he received the ball.

Yeah these damn kids and not being able to run set plays /roll eyes.

Melo was the bail out on the inbounds pass, they denied the ball for who the play was set up for

Yeah and he did nothing to get a good shot for 4 seconds and then chucked a 25 footer. Square up and take into the 15-18 foot range....better shot there.

Another problem is the coaches only set up one option. I would of emptied the paint on a side out and bring the D out then move toward the basket instead of away from it.
The Nets are looking for a coach, call Kiki

Ignore the dumbasses who hate the NBA.

Great game to watch. You could tell both sides wanted to win that game within the last few minutes.

Anyway, time to follow the trade circuit.

Kobe winning the Player of the Decade is bullshit though. I'm actually with Charles, just shows that the fans don't know what they're talking about.

dude it's the all star game, he was going for the 3 pointer to win...obviously if it was a serious game he would've drove the lane looking for a foul or closer jumper

You can't tell me you don't agree...it's Shaq, without a doubt. The fact that LeBron finished 2nd is a joke too.

shaq hasn't done shit since winning the title with Miami, its called player of the decade not player of 7 years

LOL. K.

For a Kobe fan (part of a group who always cite former players over fans opinions), I figured you'd be on the side of the TNT cast--4 former players who all picked Shaq.

So he didn't lead Kobe to 3 of the titles that seemingly only Kobe is getting credit for? The Lakers didn't SUCK when Kobe ran Shaq out? Shaq didn't go win another title without Kobe? Shaq hasn't been contributing to winning teams in his later years? He isn't a pretty big part of the current best team in the NBA? He isn't the most dominant player in NBA history? So the last 3 years make up the whole decade? You have a short memory just like the guys said on TNT.

Shaq played in 455 games BEFORE the decade began, compared to Kobe's 200. You can't fault the guy for slowing down a bit, it's going to happen to every great player. It's happening slowly in parts of Kobe's game. But it's amazing how contenders still want him, he plays well and helps his team in different ways--it's hard to adjust the kind of player you are especially when you're as good as Shaq.

Shaq: 22.3 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 2.6 APG
Kobe: 28.2 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 5.2 APG

Kobe took 4,000+ more shots than Shaq did in the decade to get 6 PPG more.

It's Shaq. Period. No one changed the game like Shaq in the last decade besides LeBron--and LeBron can't win this because he didn't even play the whole decade even though I think he is the best player of the decade from a talent standpoint--but this is over the course of time. It's more than just stats, just rings, it's impact, their story, etc. It's Shaq 1, Duncan 2 and you can debate from there. I'd probably put Kobe at 3. LeBron wouldn't finish last, but close, I wouldn't put Nash ahead of him.

So Shaq would win those titles without kobe? When you lose a all star and a top player of course your team is not going to be good as it was. If you think it was just Kobe who ran off shaq and shaq had nothing to do with it your nuts. Kobe didn't go on to the nba finals twice and win another title without shaq? Him being the most dominant player is debatable. I would think 30% of a decade would be a big deal. Like I stated before this is player of the decade not player of the first 7 years.

LeBron finished 2nd in the vote, it isn't the player of the last 7 years either.

Shaq is the player of the decade, period.

I don't ever want to hear you take a fans vote over the vote of former players to support your argument again either--I know Kobe fans have been known for doing that and saying the fans don't know what they're talking about.
