The point is the sport should be encouraging kids to wrestle at a weight that doesn't require them to cut. I know we always have cut weight that doesn't mean that at some point we should stop.

Maybe we should do what some little kids' leagues do and take the wrestlers average weight throughout the year at weigh ins and not allow him to wrestle below that.

I thought this was a thread about the Amanda Sectionals. I think this will have some real good semi and finals matches. Would be interested if so egos from last nights meeting will be knocked down some.

If somebody would post the brackets we could discuss the aforementioned matches. But until then I guess the hot topic is the weight allowance. Obviously oldEx has a bone or two to pick about some of the seedings. If you have some insight, feel free to share and let the arguing begin.

If the brackets are not posted by this evening, we'd sure appreciate a coach taking the time to post them.....nothing fancy needed, we'll figure it out..

I don't think you can blame egos when coaches are just trying to get the best draw for their kids. At that point all is fair.

Of all the people I'd surely thought you would have had some inside info. You let me down just when I counted on you.

^^^^^^ found this on their web site, found last years results, found 2007 results. Cannot find brackets, entry grid, anything about 2010.

I don't have my brackets in front of me but I will post what I know.

103- Fioucci is 1 after that I cannot remember. Pretty sure BV is 2 and CW is 3. Only 6 in this weight.

112- McHugh is 1 seedand in the top bracket with Brady the 2 seed I believe. Can't remember after that.

119- Hutchins is on top with the 1 seed. White and Weber are 2 and 3 and could have a rematch in the semis.

125- Caseta is 1, Tullius 2. Should be a good match in the finals.

130- Very tough weight here. Fusco is 1, Fosco is 2, Bright is 3, Johnston is 4, Gase is 5. Gase and Johnston in the quarters is a big match.

135- Higgins is 1, Straight 2, Col. East 3, Schenz 4, Bridges 5.

140- Possibly the toughest weight. In order of seeds- Strayer, Scipio, Yant, Klark, Foley, Hoffman. Big quarterfinal matches between Hoffman and Klark/ Foley and Scipio.

145-Highlighted here by Grandominico and Rosch who are 1 and 2. CNot sure after that.

152- Could be 3 state qualifiers here (maybe 4) with Hetterscheit, Worley and Bellomy (final 2 meet in semis)

160- Zang 1, Busby 2, Gadd 3 I think (may be wrong, we don't have a 160 and I was not paying too much attention, haha)

171- King 1, Clark 2 in opposite halves. Rest of the weight is wide open

189- drawing a blank here. Steinmetz was 1 or 2 I think I know Banks, returning sectional placer was not seeded.

215- Very deep weight. Brown 1, Jackson 2, Granville 3, Independence 4. 7 guys with winning records.

285- Another deep weight. Pressley 1, Maynard 2, Granville 3, Whitehall 4, Griffith 5, Young 6. 6 guys with winning records.

Sorry I can't do better guys.

WOW, a coach that evidently takes better notes than the AD hosting the event or at least cares more. Maybe it should have been held at Canal this year. Of course that would have been too convenient for the schools making the trip down to Amanda. BTW, are they going to clear the gym before finals and make everyone pay again?

English comprehension is usually taught during grade school and beyond. Now you may try using it if you are that advanced. I did not say it was AC's decision; it was an open ended question. What the heck is a noob? Is it related to a knob, boob, or loon?

What is the definition of a "noob"?

Someone who is new or lacks experience.

Leave it to Urbandictionary.com to provide a little entertainment... and it is, just entertainment!

II. Defining 'Noob'
Contrary to the belief of many, a noob/n00b and a newbie/newb are not the same thing. Newbs are those who are new to some task* and are very beginner at it, possibly a little overconfident about it, but they are willing to learn and fix their errors to move out of that stage. n00bs, on the other hand, know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it, and make up a unique species of their own. It is the latter we will study in this guide so that the reader is prepared to encounter them in the wil...
