I'm going with Childress. Terrible play calling on the last 3 plays in regulation.

general fumbles, followed by o-line (which allowed Favre to get the shit beat out of him), followed by Childress.

2 Turnovers in the Red Zone and pme down on your own ten yard line where killers. That's a 21 pt swing right there.

Throwing back over the middle of the field while you have 10+ yards in front of you to run.

With 1 TO left, perfect FG territory for Longwell who can boom em.

"Other"

Tracy Porter:
--Forced fumble inside the 10 yard line in 3rd quarter of Bernard Berrian.
--Interception of Brett Favre late in the 4th quarter to keep Vikings out of FG range

BTW, he is a former Indiana Hoosier!!

Fumbles, and the guy who got the penalty called on him for the 12th man in the huddle. Just think, if that didnt happen, they would have ran it right up the middle again, called timeout, hit a field goal, and the rest would be history.

Interesting fact... last night was the first time that the team who won the OT toss won the Championship game.

How can you not say Brett Favre?? He had 15 yards in front of him when he threw that last pick. Longwell would've had about a 35 yarder for the win. Alot of things contributed to the Vikings being in the position they were in, but that one play KILLED them.

Offensive line. Without a doubt. That's where all the problems started. Even with the turnovers, I think they would have won the game if Favre didn't get beat up all game. No doubt in my mind that the best team didn't win yesterday, they all just fell apart around Favre. The defense played well. They definitely choked that one away.

I'll tell you what, officiating has to be considered too IMO. I thought in both games the officials did an awesome job right up until the end of the game last night. The Vikings got screwed on some big calls. The pass interference was bogus, I understand that he never turned for the ball but there was no contact and the ball was uncatchable. No flag when Favre got hit low, would have called back a Vilma INT. The Saints had a TD that wasn't a TD. I don't think that the catch in OT by Meachem (that was reviewed I think) was a catch.

Things just didn't go the Vikings way.

You needed "turnovers" as a category.

If you don't take care of the ball, you generally lose.

I just don't like a system where the entire season rests on do first or die. I much prefer the college method of determining tie breakers. Both sides need an equal opportunity with the football. It wasn't just the coin flip though. Turnover, turnover, turnover,........ but of course the Saints gave all or at least most of the advantage right back by committing absolutely brain dead penalties at the worst possible time. Frankly, the game dissolved into a huge comedy of errors. Hopefully, the Super Bowl will display a much better quality of football. It would almost have to.

It was an ill-advised pass, but lest we forget that his ankle was pretty jacked up. I don't think he would have gone very far had he taken off running.
