I would like to say that Circleville Coaches, Wrestlers and Fans showed piss poor sportsmanship and no class during the 135 match. I witnessed coaches and wrestlers encouraging their wrestler to go after the shoulder of the AC wrestler that has been back from a major injury for 6 matches. Things were heard in the stands(from CV fans/parents) that I won't repeat. The 135 from CV is a good wrestler and didn't need to try to re-injure the AC kid. I lost alot of respect for the CV program tonight.
Way to go Aces!
Not sure what was said in the stands, but the coaches were talking about a pin as thats what we needed at that point to stay alive for the daul win .We would never tell a kid to injure another kid. To me knowlage no coach knew what injury he was coming back from.
Well if I must elaborate several of our parents heard comments about Corns' shoulder made by CV coach/coaches, Wrestlers, particularly the CV 140 who, while on deck jumped up and down and pointed at his left shoulder throughout the entire match encouraging the CV wrestler to exploit it.
A CV fan was heard in the stands saying "that's it rip that p***ies arm off".
Seems kinda odd the Weekly had a hold of Corns' left arm the whole match.
I understand the rivalry between the two schools but last night was unacceptable.
Weekly is a very good wrestler, Corns is at about 50% of his potential right now. There was no way Corns was going to beat Weekly last night anyway, so why purposely try to hurt the kid..
I just think it was classless and unsportsmanlike.
