Here is the hard part! As far as Top Gun VS. Medina goes, I would imagine that certain weight classes are harder than others at either tournament. How do we decide what tournament is harder? We could look at a global list of criteria like , 1) What Teams are invited to each tournament and how they placed the prior year?

Yes all these tournaments are in Ohio. The GMVWA is mostly Southwest Schools some from the Toledo area, and the top teams from Kentucky there are 48 teams in the tournament. Graham attends.

Ironman
Brecksville
Top Gun
Medina(with the last three in any order!

I dont think gmvwa is all that compared to the others! Graham doesnt attend...They run away with the tournament every year! Nothing bad towards Graham..just dont think its as tough as the other Four listed in my opinion!

Akron Firestone and OVAC are often overlooked since they are the same time as Top Gun.

Not the level of Medina or Top Gun, but equal to GMVWA

No the GMVWA is not on the level of the top 3. Medina is still tough, but I don't think it is even on the level of Top Gun. I would list the GMVWA as a top 10 tournament there are more teams than just Graham attending. It is very similiar to the OVAC.

Ok , I'm gonna do a poll but I need one more tuff tourney to add to the poll.
Here is what I have so far. Not in order of anything. I will do a poll for the JR High and Grade school as well, after I see how this one turns out.
Top Gun
Ironman
Brecksville
Medina
OVAC
KIT
GMVWA
Akron Firestone
OHSAA State Tournament

Graham should give up GMVWA and attend one of the 3 brecksville medina or top gun that would make for some really exciting tournaments

Graham already attends Top Gun, the GMVWA gives them a chance to see most of the teams from the Southwest District. Yes they are the dominate team in the area but it always helps to know your competition. So I don't see them leaving the G. I think they used to attend Brecksville and left a couple of years ago to get into the G.

The GMVWA has some good wrestling this year I watched a 7th grader from Ryle Kentucky beat alot of Ohio's best at 119 . He lost in the finals 14-4 to returning State Champ Nick Brescetta from Graham. He is a legit 12 years old has not been held back the kid is very tough. He has also beat a few kids that placed at Brecksville this year 1 that comes to mind is Ward from Goshen.

Would that 7th Grader be Mark H. Formerly from Michigan?

Yes the wrestler is Mark Hall is a beast! By the time this kid gets to H.S. if he sticks with it he should be a four time state champ.

Beg to differ here! 6 X State champ ! That's why they moved to Kentucky ! For real! My son and Mark go to a ton of camps together at BTW in Milan Ohio and I have spoken to his father a few times. They are very focused on being the best. If you look this kid up on the world of wrestling site he has already won a ton of Major tourneys. Here is what is awesome about him and his dad. They really have a great attitude about wrestling! The kid is always laughing and having a great time. His dad really does not pressure him all that much ! I wouldn't doubt that Mark made the decision to move to Kentucky and his dad is just trying to give his kid the best opportunity to be the best. Expect him to move back to Michigan his freshman year. Great Kid and Even better Dad !

I'm sorry , My son is 12 years old and 77 lbs. Mark and my son and a few others just attend the same camps and play together! There is no comparison to Mark and my son ! The kid is a freak of nature. Meant in a good way. I would love to see him come to Ohio! Personally I would like to see him wrestle for Burney ! But in all reality I would think he would go to Gram. Or maybe Blair???? Time will tell.
