Because what's really fascinating is not just the idiots flocking to the bluster and bravado, but that Trump stands for almost nothing that has Repubs banking these votes and taking them for granted. I think it's almost easier for Trump to pick-up idiots on the Dem side because he actually stands for more of what they want/believe.

What he's really doing is cherry-picking the one or two key issues to appeal to all the people who vote on 1 or 2 issues. Instead of reading the political tea leaves the last two remaining viable challengers fail to create their own anti-establishment brand they just end up looking like feckless imitators. As Washington politicians they had a large hill to climb to begin with.
