This year, the Central District is spicing some things up in the form of a post-season All-Star Meet.
For the red team, we have Hall of Fame coach Bob Stoll. For the blue team we have 2x National Champion, 4x All-American Tommy Rowlands.
Each wrestler will receive a package of gear provided by CageFighter. (Pretty sweet from what I hear!)
The line-ups are post on @InsideThe360 - if I wasn't so lazy I'd copy them over. But I am. So I won't.
IMO, there are some pretty interesting match ups. Lybarger-Hall III should be excellent!

Wow, great idea, sounds like a great wrestling event.
Can you tell us anything about the situations at 132 and 195? Would like to see some Westerville North guys wrestle in this. Sounds like a fun night though!
SDDad: Coach DiSabato sent out invitations. (At least that's what I gather.) Coaches informed their wrestlers and boom...The Bob Dieli Central District All Star Classic is upon us.
Should be a great event. I'm looking forward to it.

The top two finishers at each weight class from the state meet were invited to compete. Some accepted, some declined. The next wrestler was then asked to compete.
It was a little hectic trying to get committments from every weight class. I had to put a cut off due to my time constraint and sanity. Hopefully this event will gain support and the wrestlers will be knocking on my door to get in next year.
The event will be modified HS rules. 2-2-2 periods. There will be one added rule....if a wrestler steps out of bounds from a nuetral position, the opponent will get 1 point. Action will continue if scoring opportunity present. Also, OT will have NO time. First point wins.

The gear they will be wearing looks great. I believe the shirts will be for sale to the fans to purchase. They have a logo on the front with the matchups on the back.

Thanks Cruiser! And I think Kamba, Kramer, Fusner, and Richard, matched up in any way would have been good at 195. Maybe some of those guys didn't want to wrestle?

Nice event today. Great job by Coach Disabato setting it up. This is the kind of thing that Central Ohio needs. Hopefully it will grow from here. The boys had fun and there were some good matches.
On a side note, Demas is gonna be fun to watch the next 3 years!

Kamba is still pretty banged up from eight months straight of football and wrestling. A few nagging injuries stopped him....but it is a great event and will grow each year.
