Not predicting it, but sure wouldn't surprise me.

Sorry... but right now, anyone who is NOT SEC needs FSU to keep winning. Without FSU still in this (as much as I loathe Jameis), then the possibility of 3+ SEC teams in the playoff is even greater. I think I'm unfortunately starting to accept the fact that there will at least be 2 SEC teams, regardless of what happens. Only those outside the SEC (and BSPN) actually realize how inflated rankings have created what we have here today.

The SEC has a 0% chance to get 3 teams in. No need to add that to the list of your daily SEC whine posts.

Agreed. It's 0%. 2 is pretty likely though.

Fuck off. I said the chances are greater. Regardless of what will actually happen, the "chances" are greater.

You're kidding yourself if you believe there is a 0% chance of three SEC teams getting in.

It's unlikely but nothing would surprise me with the SEC

It's unrealistic because you aren't going to have 3 SEC teams with 1 loss or less by season's end. So that means you are going to place a 2-loss SEC team that didn't win its conference over 3 Major conference champions with 2 losses or less? It's just not realistic, especially when you factor in ND.

This. These teams still play each other for the most part. Even 2 SEC teams is pretty unlikely. No need to get your panties in a bunch over it.

Never thought I would see the day that sleeper is a voice of reason regarding the SEC.

LOL at everyone freaking out about the SEC have 3 teams in the playoff. Yes there is literally 1% chance of that happening but that would mean a shit ton of other teams would have to have 2 losses and I just don't see that happening.

It's incredibly realistic. Even if there is a 1% chance, it's realistic.

Realistic: having or showing a sensible and practical idea of what can be achieved or expected.

Possible is the word you are looking for, not realistic.

SEC East team beats an undefeated MSU in SEC championship. SEC East, MSU, and Alabama. Higher than 1% chance, in my opinion.

No one is freaking out or at least I am not (etb might be lol). Just saying would the SEC, with all the hype they get and all the money invested in them by major media machines, getting a favorable decision in the first ever playoff surprise anyone?

If that's the case, SEC East and MSU get in. It's impossible to have 3 1 loss or less teams in the SEC West.

2 teams is already pretty favorable. 3 is very unrealistic.

ETB is turning into IQQY over this. As for the SEC getting three teams, I'd say the 1% "it could happen but the odds are astronomical" chance is about right. Where I'd usually say there's no chance, but let's face it, if Mississippi can currently be in the top four immediately after losing to a team that was barely in the Top 25 when they played them, it's impossible to discount the chances of it happening completely.

Exactly. Yes the chances are 1% but that leaves the powers that be with an out to make it happen.

I'm not too worried about it and I don't give a fuck who is in it if Ohio state isn't in it. But I'm not discounting the chance. Because, SEC!

That won't happen. If MSU beats Alabama, they are done. The more likely scenario is Auburn runs the table. An undefeated MSU loses to Georgia in the SEC championship game and they all go.

Ohio State is unlikely to even come close even if we win out. You can see the committee doesn't value the Buckeyes by placing them as #16 in the inaugural poll. The reality is, Ohio State would blow the fuck out of the SEC West schools.

Fuck that bullshit luck ass TD by FSU....unbelievable. Shouldn't be allowed to fumble forward, especially for a TD.
