The penalty was called on fuller. So bc Darby stepped in front of fillers slant route its offensive pass interference? It's not like fuller went straight into him blocking. He took his outside release and ran his correct slant route

It's such an obvious call I don't know how anyone can refute it. Could have been called on both guys.

That vine shows me a DB cheating inside to cut off the slant (essentially putting him completely out of position to cover the out route). And the other view shows the DB sliding over and initiating contact. That's not a flag on the offense.

To look at it another way, had the ball been thrown to Fuller instead of Robinson, there's a good case for defensive pass interference. So it's hard for me to rationalize that call on Fuller.

Lol once again they called the penalty on fuller. There is no way you can call that on fuller. Not sure where you got your football education from but last I checked a DB cutting a receiver off from his route isn't offensive pass interference

Never ever ever ever in football history has a penalty been called on the wrong person when a clear penalty has occurred.

Since that above statement isn't true, your point is moot. The Irish clearly committed offensive pass interference by run blocking on a pass play and got OPI called on them. The fact that you guys are nit-picking over who it was called on, when there was clearly a penalty committed anyways, is just frivolous bitching and moaning.

The penalty was called on Fuller. Prosise wasn't blocking, the DB jammed him at the line of scrimmage and never let go. He was trying to disengage in the end zone and turn around to get the ball. Not a penalty.

ND sucks, but they got hosed pretty hard on that call. Hopefully they can win out and get blown out in the playoffs.

I thought it was called on the most inside receiver.
I didnt see it that way that he was trying to disengage. He was just driving him back into the end zone. If it it was called on the other receiver then yeah, I think it is a bad call.

Alright I'm officially done talking to you about this. Your homerism is too much if you think he wasn't blocking. You guys ran the exact play to the opposite side earlier in the game and got away with it. It's designed offensive holding, whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

I wanted you guys to beat FSU since your remaining schedule is tougher but now I'm glad you guys lost, and the manner in which it happened.

Well...that's cool. You're entitled to be a dick. Let me ask you one more question...if the view that you posted is such a definitive angle, why didn't the ref along the goal line throw that flag? Why did the back judge throw it? The view you posted is from the view of the ref along the goal line and he never threw it.

And if you don't think the DB jammed Prosise at the line, then I'm done talking with you about it because you're fucking retarded.

Did Brian Kelly complain, once he saw the flag, he knew that his designed pick play was called and started looking for a new offensive play.

The official on the line of scrimmage was responsible for the catch (as he would be on all passes of that length) as that was he key from the snap and as the play progressed. The back judge and field judge have the receivers who blocked on the play.

It doesn't even have to be holding. The receiver knows he route and it is his responsibility to avoid the defender. Any sort of downfield material effect on a defender on a pass first touched beyond the neutral zone at the point of attack is an OPI foul.

I understand you are a fan. I have no bias toward either team. #7 white seeking out and blocking #3 maroon in the end zone is an offensive foul. #20 whites actions are very suspect. He lunges into #8 maroon with is shoulder and turns to where he knows the pass is thrown, he was not going for a pass, he was blocking from the snap and did not make any effort to run a route. I can not explain it to you any differently or help you get over your team's loss.
