Well no. Screens are legal when a ball is caught behind the neutral zone as pass interference rules only applies to a ball that cross that plane untouched.

Keep in mind that OU beat Akron by 37 points at Akron last season with our starting QB. Enjoy the win over Akron yesterday. One fan base is happy over a 3 point win over Akron with a freshman making his first ever start at QB. One fan base is disappointed with losing even with a freshman making his first ever start at QB. If that isn't a testament to the state of the each of the programs, I dont know what is.
Lord, full retard has been achieved when "making a point" constitutes stating the obvious. Especially considering that, as said above, Ohio is using their back-up quarterback, too, so your "we had to use a back-up" excuse has no merit.

Lol, your whole butthurt post makes me glad I didn't follow up Pittsburgh's loss to Cleveland with a snide little "man, when our team beats yours, it's just another day at the office...you beat us and it's like you just won 15 Super Bowls in one afternoon" because I realized I'd look like a whiny little bitch if I did so. And, lo and behold, you did a sparkling job of proving that to be true.

At least 2 slots. That's quite a drop for an SEC team.

@BruceFeldmanCFB: RT @TMitrosilis: Here's a great goal line Vine of Notre Dame's PI vs. FSU. https://vine.co/v/ObOBAdPbI5a”

Yea. The offensive player definetly initiates contact and deserved the penalty.

100%, especially after ND got away with doing the same thing for a TD earlier in the game

My only thoughts on the ND/FSU call from someone who didn't give two shits who won. It's the old adage of...what's the "right" call versus what's the "typical" call.

By definition, the call was right. By definition, that call could be made on a ton of screen, sideline out and slant plays and it's ignored. It happens almost every time a team stacks one side of the field with 3 or 4 wide.

It's only magnified because of when it was called.

I saw it for the first time this morning. We all heard about it from people on sat night and most were saying it was a 'bad' call. When I saw it I guess my first reaction was it was just too obvious. I have to error on the side that the call was the correct one even though I would ahve preferred ND to win the game.
Teams are getting better at rubbing off the DB without making the contact. When the receiver has his arms up on front of him like he is blocking...just didnt do a good enough job to make it look good.

I'm pretty much over it at this point. This guy breaks it down pretty well without saying one way or the other. I still think it was a bad call...but if ND can win out, they'll be in the playoffs.

Then you're so misguided by your fandom as to be irrational.

You simply can't be blocking on a pass play and if you look at the goal line view it there was blatant blocking.

That was a terrible video. The penalty was called on the holding, not on the slant.

Why? The offensive player drove the defensive backwards.

That view they showed in that video is terrible, it completely fails to show the clear penalty. Not surprised that's the view presented by the South Bend media and not the goal line view that shows the penalty
