but where is list for the Disgrace...err...Dispatch?

While I would LOVE to rant on this for ten pages, I won't.

But I will say this... Us (CD coaches) feed them results (in a particular format) and rankings isn't the kind of coverage I'm thinking of. And is doing all the work and then IF they get the time and have the space, listing in the sports section.

How many 150 match winners have been announced on this forum in the past 5 years? Compare that with the number of non-February articles you've seen in the Dispatch. Remember when they used to do a "Highlights" section for any and all sports? That was great wasn't it? What if every Tuesday you saw a full page of wrestling with pictures and all???

It is during times like this that I honestly consider pulling a Ben Franklin and purchasing a printing press.

I'd love NOTHING more than to do a "Where Are They Now" section on guys like Angelo DiSabato, Jesse Dong, Randy Languis, and a whole host of other CD wrestlers. If love nothing more than to let a team know if be in their wrestling room, with camera in hand, to do a cover story on a team like Amanda, or Delaware, or Hartley!!! In my grand delusions, I see the coach letting his kids know that Inside The Circle is coming this week guys, make sure you have your team gear on, and make sure you come to work. Then, when the pictures and videos are compiled, and the article is written, you - the fan - get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be a wrestler day in and day out. You see a kid who hasn't stepped on the varsity mat just yet, sweating from head to toe, lining up for another round of sprints, thinking to himself that he one has to one more as hard as he can! That some day all this hard work will pay off. That his teammates are counting on him - even as a non-varsity kid - to give it everything he has all practice long! And then look over and see a kid who is a projected place winner puking in a trash can because he's exausted himself with double leg take downs. Grab a snap shot of a coach on his hands and knees trying to convey the correct position for a move.

Those are my delusions of grandeur. Not pre-packaged results in a corner of the back page.

Only if I ask for it. I am still the rep. But, again, I'm stubborn, and possibly wrong. And I'll accept it if I am. But I still stand by my above post. No sport in high school in any state demands more hard work than what these young men and some women put in on a daily basis.

Again, this time it's not as much on them.

I know I said I wouldn't, but!!!

If I run into the somebody from the Dispatch down at the state tournament, perhaps I'll bend his ear a bit.

But I'll have you know I'm gonna be salty (upset) if he looks burdened by his gig.

I didn't take it as a slam. I take it as you wanting what we all want! I'm joining in with your singing!!! Again, I could be wrong in my approach. And I'm willing to accept that.

As a matter of fact, this week, EVERY D-I coach will vote. I'll use that for the coaches poll.

100% the truth! Over the years, I've been associated in one way or the other with many, many different sports. I can say with certainty, that I've never seen anything approaching what these kids do. I'm in awe...

I send in the D2 rankings every week but have yet to check if they are in the Dispatch. Has anyone seen them?

Maybe because it is really hard to find central Ohio results. I am a wrestling fan, and have a really hard time even finding results, I couldn't even imagine putting together rankings.

Good point, most coaches dont call in the mid week dual's/tri's.

Ive been looking for 2 schools in particular, and just not finding anything, on here, huddle yappi....nowhere. With this age of technology, there is no reason we cant throw all our results into one place.

Maybe try jakeswrestling.com.
