It is coachable, but it's a big change, and you have to wonder if it takes away his effectiveness by trying to make him a pocket QB. That's why I think he's a boom or bust guy. I'll be a big Johnny Football fan if the Browns draft him though. I also think #3 is a positive for him. He's going to be confident, which is a problem for a lot of rookie QB's.

Define NFL QB?

Hes gonna be drafted in the first round and unlike Tebow the talk has only about being drafted/played at QB.

I'm curious to your defintion.

Same thing said about Brees, Wilson. Size doesn't matter if you are accurate and can move around to get into the throwing lanes.

Also, Brady wasn't even on the radar because "he didn't have an NFL skillset" We try and scrutinize these players way too much which is the reasoning why Wilson fell to the third round. Manziel dominated SEC competition. Plain and simple.

You said the same thing about Wilson probably too. "too small to see over the line". Dumb, dumb logic.

I'd take a guess that he thought Troy Smith would be legit in the NFL.

The point....you don't fucking know.

I have no idea what to think about Manziel...zero clue whether his game will transition over to the NFL...so not going to comment on it. Just gonna hope this front office can go after their guy, get him, and he pans out.

Difference between those guys and Manziel, is that Manziel's biggest weapon is his legs. Brees and Wilson are highly cerebral QB's and they scramble to get in better position to make plays with their arms. Can Manziel do that in the NFL? It will be very interesting to find out. When there's 2 QB's out of 32 that can do it effectively, the odds aren't really with him. He is probably the most intriguing prospect though.

Wilson's biggest attribute is his ability to scramble when the play breaks down. Get out of here with that.

Really? Manziel makes shit happen with his arm when the play breaks down all the time.

I seriously doubt that some of the naysayers have actually watched anything other than Sportscenter highlights of this kid.

I mean, he completes 70% of his passes against SEC West competition..His arm isn't exactly a liability.

Case Keenum threw for 5000 yards 3 times under Sumlin, being over 70% twice. That's just what Kevin Sumlin QB's do.

My wife watched him for about 10 min and said that he reminded her of Phillip Rivers.

I kind of agree.....same pissy fire that I hate, but fuckin cocky SOB pretty much feels entitled to win. Rivers doesn't really move at all but can see over the line with a lightning quick release gets it done.....Manziel had at least as much fire but can make things happen with his legs more than enough to be productive. I think his height will keep him from being a Pro Bowl QB......but if he ended up as the second coming of Jeff Garcia I wouldn't be shocked.

He is damn intriguing.

He's only been a head coach for those two schools, but he was the OC for Sam Bradford for a year too.

He's half the size of Rivers. I don't knock his talent, I knock his ability to improvise without getting broke in half

Mack, JT, Haden, Gordon, and Ward all-pros. Gotta love how Ward wasn't voted to the pro bowl. So that pretty much makes 6 all-pro caliber players on this team if you add Cameron with his Pro Bowl spot, and we only had 4 wins to show for it. I don't give a fuck what some dipshit blogger says, the Browns job is a lot more attractive with 6 top players in the NFL, and 2 upcoming first round picks.

I agree with that.

On Johnny Football is he able to stay healthy in the NFL would be a huge question for me. I love the free wheeling style he plays with but he can not take shots like he did in College and expect to play more than about 5 games a year. Who know if any of these kids will be good at the next level?

I don't trust manziel's mechanics or decision making. He makes so many off balance/back foot/across his body throws that I just don't see him getting away with in the league.
