I doubt the coaches and ownership will give in to the fans so he will have to earn it.

He will wow everyone with his ad lib scrambles in the pre season and get everyone excited. Coaches will have to look and see how he actually executes the offense. It is great to be able to make shit happen like a Roethlisberger, Rogers, etc, but in the end you really need to be able to make the plays within the framework of the offense. He could make a good play, the fans be amped up, but when the coaches watch film see that he totally blew the play and had guys open that he shoulda thrown to.

Psyched we got Haden locked up, came on here to post that. But also, I found someone selling a shirt with the Manzelf on it. Look up BrownieManziel on Twitter/Etsy. They're selling them for $20.

So, ok.
Locked up Hade for a long time. Great job for the browns.

What will go wrong or be reported that happened in the next few days to knock them back down again? Seems like something good happens, then something bad happens.....

Haden's not a wide receiver. Therefore, they're focusing on the wrong things and will never win anything ever.

And then he'll mention that one time he was burned in that one game some year as proof.

I don't really think Haden was worth that kind of money.

I don't think anyone should make millions for paying a game. Unfortunately, that's the going rate. You want a quality product, you've got to pay the price.

Hard to quantify the worth of a CB as the good ones dont get tested very often. Its alot of $$, no doubt but they have $$ to blow and the ownership is, finally, wanting to show they are actually trying. He got more than Sherman.
Browns fans should be happy about this deal and it was about the going rate to a point.

To a point I agree.
But should someone get paid millions to sing? Dance? Act in a movie?
It is all relative and supported by the market.
Either the players would be making the huge dollars, or the owners would be making all of that extra. I would rather the players get it.

That is the point I was getting at. Anyways, it IS the going rate for top tier CB's, so I won't argue with that.

So everyone has seen the supposed leaked Patriots scouting report on Johnny Manziel by now. Apparently, he's spoiled, walks away from coaches, gets allowance from Gramps (still), believes in partiality when it comes to knowing the playbook and has some jealous teammates. Wonder if it said "still 200 times better than Brandon Weeden" on there.

Interesting. I find the playbook think interesting, and believable to a point. He makes so many plays with his feet that I wouldnt doubt he didnt have a full grasp of the playbook of maybe what every receiver is doing on each play. Maybe he knew what 1 and 2 were doing and then would just say fuck it and scramble it around.

That dog wont hunt in the NFL where you have to know what all 4/5 receivers are doing and anticipate those throws.

He's unhappy because he wants to win and is running out of years. If he moves, it makes more sense to go to a current contender.

I believe in his intro presser he said Sumlin didn't have a "playbook" but game sheets for that week specifically. Semantics I know but maybe where the full grasp of a playbook comment would come from.

And yeah queencitybuckeye. My thoughts too about Andre Johnson. People are thinking he'd consider us cause he had his best seasons under Kyle Shanahan plus an improving D and the allue of JFF. My guess is Mallett and a 3rd or 4th from the Patriots for Andre Johnson.

ESPN's Dan Graziano reports the NFL is expected to revamp its marijuana policy in the league's new drug agreement, instituting a higher threshold for positive tests and lessening the penalties.
