It's okay, friend! :-)

There is plenty of time between now and the start of the regular season to learn to control your emotions.

We know.

Anyway the JFF pick has overshadowed the Gilbert pick. I think he is going to be a new piece in pettine's system. Haden will be a good mentor. I see him starting on day 1.

My guess is skrine is gone once he is a FA.

Agree about Gilbert. Interesting that he was a QB converted to CB same as Haden. Not that it means anything but I looked back and both had similar "weaknesses" written about them coming from college. Not the best footwork due to inexperience at the position, sometimes takes chances and gets burned. Not the best in the run game. It was a pretty consistent write up between the two.

I hope Skrine would stick and excel in the nickel. Being the third CB isn't a huge deal anymore since so many teams have multiple WR's on the field these days.

How close are the Browns to becoming absolutely stacked in the d backfield? Haden, Gilbert, Whitner, Skrine could be a great nickel IMO, Gipson is solid as well but I think I want an upgrade there.

The vast majority of people at my friends' draft party were Browns fans. When Johnny was picked, a LOT of shots of Crown started being done. I'm still drunj.

I like Skrine and thought he played very well, albiet out of position as a starting QB, and think he'll be great as a nickel corner.

Well, except for how he chokes constantly and is an utter failure at anything other than fantasy stats. Carson Palmer 2.0.

As for Johnny, no idea what to expect, seems like a no brainer pick value wise and it has the city in a frenzy...which i love. If they come away with Lee with this next pick....I may overdose on heroin tonight.
Yeah. It's kind of funny because we were laughing at FW's trade ideas as being utterly retarded because they were so lopsided in favor of Cleveland...and then Cleveland pulled off one of the best "we fucked you hard" draft day trades in some time. Getting a shit franchise's first round pick next year just to swap five positions in this year's first round, where they still were able to get the best CB and a potential good QB. Poor, poor Buffalo.

Tony Romo is not the reason the Cowboys suck. Their defense can't stop anyone. Romo has been very good the past couple seasons.

I don't get why it has to be one extreme or the other. Romo is a good QB. He's also made several enormous mistakes in key situations in his career.

And none of it is relevant to the browns.

In traing camp and the preseason you can expect Manzell to make alot of plays that will get alot of people fired up and wanting him to play. He will bring energy to the offense and franchise and that is something you cannot dismiss.

Have to be happy with the new rookie structure. If this was 5-6 years ago you can bet your ass his agent would be asking for alot more $$ in saying he is a top 5 talent.

I did see that over 4 years browns will save over 12 million because JFF dropped.

The salaries seem to be much more slotted now. Did they say how much they 'save' by drafting Gilbert first and then JM instead of vice versa (not sure if Gilbert woulda been there at 22).

I doubt JFF is in Cleveland for 4 years. I say he's cut and out of the league in 3.

There's no way Gilbert, the best CB in the draft, would have been there at 22.

SF just got better.

I'm hoping Lee falls to us from USC. I think that would make the draft complete.

It makes sense for us to draft JFF. Guy plays off passion and energy from the fans. What more passionate fans than Cleveland browns fans?

Should be interesting to see how he develops as a quarterback, because everything else is there for him. Weapons on offense, fanbase behind him, good line.

That's a big concern. For him to become legit, he'll need to be one of those "first guy in, last to leave" types. I hope he recognizes this and is willing.
