I'm not sure if we are having one, but if we do, I can see it being either 113 or 126. Both should be great matches! 126 #2 will be good as well!

It is plus five, and from everyone I've talked to, all of them...and THEN some!!!!! I honestly believe that there are about five others, and that doesn't include any incoming freshmen who would like to make a name for themselves!!!

If one of your wrestlers competes in the Allstar meet, your team cannot have a preview. Many teams not in Allstar meet probably prefer to have a preview involving their whole team as opposed to a few individuals? Not a bad reason to not participate in Allstar meet if you ask me.

I'm assuming a 'Preview' is an exhibition match..... Can u confirm and tell us what previews are happening this season?

My assumption is a preview is an exhibition match. According to the rules at OHSAA a team can have 4 scrimmages, or 3 scrimmages and a preview. Maybe the all star meet is considered a preview? So if you do that, you cannot do another.

Coach R.: I agree 100%. I am of the opinion that a coach has an obligation first to his team, then to others. If it benefits the team to attend the All-Star Meet, then go for it. If he feels that it would benefit his team to do something else, then go for it. Again, his team, his choice.

And yes, this All Star Meet is the team's preview. Even if you only have one kid. If that one kid is entered, then the rest of the team cannot be involved in a preview.

I also think it depends on the school/team. Smaller programs (ex. city league teams) that don't get a lot of attention or consideration take pride in having a wrestler, or two, compete at the All-Star meet. Brings some credibility to the program and helps promote wrestling within the school (recruiting away from basketball! :RpS_flapper and community. : thumbup:
