Turkey Day. A tradition for me of drinking, eating and losing wagers. Always seem to lose on Turkey Day...no matter how the season is going in general.

Bears +7
Cowboys -3
Over Phil/Dallas game 54.5 (played it as soon as it hit the board on Sunday. I'd still play over 56.5)
Hawks ML

Texas +7 bought.
LSU -1 1H and -3 game.
Texas/LSU teaser

Good luck to everyone betting and surviving the day with relatives.

I'm going to stop betting stupid fucking prop bets.

Took Clippers -14 pissed off after that game. Hopefully they can win me some of my betting money back.

Is anyone who sports bet for more than 1 year up against Vegas?

I think sports betting is a waste of money but I do admit it definitely can make a contest you don't care about more interesting.

Im currently up over the last 3 years. Won big 3 years ago. Lost last year and am about even this year (22-18 on NFL games). Havent bet anything else this year, and only bet NFL/CBK.

Of course, I am WAY down if you count my trips to Vegas and blackjack lol.

Drunk and gambling is a poor, poor choice.

I'm up money but that's mostly from years ago. In the last 2 years I'm down about $300 so not a ton and I could easily win that back.

I've never been to vegas but if I include other casino's and online poker/blackjack I'm definitely down money in my lifetime.

The only way to really get up, in my experience, is betting parlays and teasers. I'm definitely not up over the years, including Vegas trips and online betting. However, I've never had consistent luck just betting single games. My best wins have been with parlays or teasers, which can bring some really nice exponential paydays and not be a lot to risk up front.

I don't bet to make a living. I enjoy it and don't mind dropping a hundred bucks every few months.

Haha, yes. I doubt those who make it their living are online posting how to do it without charging.

I just meant I don't bet to really make money. If i put in a hundred and get up I'll withdraw it but that rarely happens. Sportsbook money is like a utility bill for me.

Definitely. I also enjoy betting. I pretty say I'll spend at most $500 a year on it.

Azu I agree parlays and teasers are where it's at. I very rarely bet single games and if I do is only a couple. I do love to bet over/unders though... most of the time its the over.

What I've been doing lately that I like is betting a single 3-5 game parlay (depending on how many games I like) for $25. And then betting a single game for $25 that I'm, obviously, most confident in. That way if I lose the parlay I can break even by winning the one game. It's worked so far. I've done it maybe 6 times and I've only been burned on the full $50 once.

Went 7-3 yesterday, only lost KState and Marshall.
Took my winnings and bet NFL today.
4-0.
Took the Browns +3, Raiders +7.5, Seahawks +1, and Bills +10 (that was a nice backdoor).

Last two days have pushed me in the positive for the year. $20 bucks up overall and now 88-86-1,

I won Steelers/Ravens ML parlay.

Put 5 to win 75 on Raiders ML, Arizona ML, and Broncos -9.5. Fuck that backdoor cover.

Browns line opened up a pick and has already jumped a point in a half Browns now favored. That's what happens when Johnny Football gets named the starter. It will be 2.5 by game time.
