OK....The Bengals are in. Congrats on that.

There are so many possibilities for the playing against the Jets and then playing in the 1st week of the playoffs.

How much do you want the starters to play?

If the Pats lose do you want to shoot for the#3 seed.

You may be matched up with (most likely) : Jets, Texans, Ravens, Broncos, Steelers

Who do you want to play in the 1st round of the playoffs?

I think busting the chops of the Broncos would be fitting...since you guys battled back from that 1st week debacle. It would really show how far you guys came.

I'd prefer the Jets (no disrespect to them or their fans), but I'd rather face a rookie in the 1st round

I would also rather take on the Jets beating the Ravens and Steelers is hard enough twice let alone 3 times. Broncos are pretty good, they seem to just to be on the cusp of being one of the better teams in the AFC. Houston smoked us the first time and their offense is scary and I am not sure if we can score with them.

I would guess most Bengals fans would prefer to face the Jets in round 1.

Broncos, Jets, or Ravens.

Honestly I'd rather not face the Steelers again. It is obvious that Cincinnati is capable of beating them, but I'm not very confident in how the odds will potentially stack up if they meet for a third time.

As a Jets fan I am looking forward to a possible matchup against the Bengals in round 1. I think it has the makings of a great game with both teams playing at full strength.

Jets have the #1 scoring D in the NFL. The Bengals are #5.
Jets have the #1 passing D in the NFL and would match up Revis with Ochocinco. The Bengals are around league average on passing D but Sanchez is prone to turnovers and the Bengals are near the top in INTs.
Bengals have the #2 rushing D in the NFL but the Jets have the #1 rushing O. The Jets are about as good against the rush on D as the Bengals are rushing on O.

Overall just a really good matchup that should lead to a great game.

The Jets would also most likely like to match up against the Bengals.

Unfortunately, the Bengals D isn't what it could have been without Antwaan Odom, Roy Williams and Rey Maualuga. It's good, but I'm not sure it's enough to really go that far.

Is Maualuga out for a while? I remember seeing him leaving on the cart last week but I didn't see or hear what the injury was.

I thought I saw on Sportscenter that he broke his ankle.

So if the Ravens win Sunday would they play Cincy or is there more to the situation?

If the Jets win the are the #5 seed regardless of what else happens. So the only playoff scenario for the Jets is playing in Cincinnati. If they Ravens win they are in but there are plenty of different scenarios for them.

If the Ravens win and the Jets lose the Ravens would be the #5 seed but they wouldn't necessarily play Cinci. If Cinci wins and NE loses the Ravens would play NE in round 1. If Cinci wins and NE wins and Baltimore wins the Ravens would play in Cinci.

I would love to see them play the Steelers, as i would take the Steelers in that game, but i don't think the Steelers make it in.

Some good thought from Bengal fans early in the thread. I like gerb's reasoning....along with jordo's thought as well.

I still think they would beat the Broncos in another meeting.....Kyle Orton is who we thought he was.

So, anyone planning on going to the Wild Card game?

I've already bought tickets for it. :)

I definitely want to replay the Broncos..............the revenge factor would bring a little something extra to this game. Would love to go to the Wildcard game. The last time I went to a Cincy playoff game was in '88-'89 when they played the Bills in the AFC championship game at Riverfront.

Ticket prices aren't too bad. I bought 2 tickets for just over $100 a piece. At that price I'll still go even if the Jets aren't playing.
