LOL Wait.......wait.......this is hilarious.........the Dalton Coach refuses to shake Maneese's hand because he beats his wrestler...takes him down..........cuts him lose and does that over and over again.....doesnt hurt him.......doesnt throw him......just wrestles with him...instead of pinning him in the first 10 secs of the match.....he wanted to at least get a little mat time. Then the Dalton coach.......( who "claims" to be a Pastor) starts throwing the " F- BOMB" around....THAT SHOWS LOTS OF CLASS ! You people don't know what class is............and HEAVEN HELP YOU ALL if thats the kind of preaching you get there in Dalton. This is a Coach......suppose to be a role model and mentor ...........who should be able to control himself ..........but then to find out this man is "claiming" to be a Pastor.....pfffffft! I will pray for this man.......and for you people in Dalton, because if thats the best you can do for a role model and "class" you are in serious trouble.

Well I believe mompov is just upset because her son only scored the points maneese gave him when he kicked him loose. Every wrestler has had those matches where you get stomped.......you learn from them and move on. Win or lose you will never see a kid from Clearfork not give the opposing wrestler or coach the proper handshake.
All I can say is good Luck to Dalton in the future.

Actually coach did shake the boys hand. And it was not my son. And it wasn't that he was losing. It was when he let him up he would give him an extra push to knock him off balance and sneer at him and turn around and grin at his teammates. Winning didn't seem to be good enough, he seemed to have to try to take his self-esteem away too. Like a bully on the playground.
As for coach, I don't know if he let the f-bomb drop. I didn't hear him and I doubt he would. But he is an ex-marine and he was angry and rightfully so. If he did swear I apologize for him, that was wrong.
Anyway, makes your school and coach look bad. What coach would let that happen on a regular basis? It's not sportmanship.

I dont understand why you think that what he did was so bad? The only thing he did was take him down and than cut him so he could try to work on some moves and as far as your coach being a ex-marine what does that have to do with anything.Maybe he sould of just went out and pinned him.

WOW!! you clear fork people are something else....it's great to wrestle with confidence, but to be a hotdog is another story. I saw him as did everyone else. Don't give the "mat time" garbage speach, he gets plenty I'm sure. If that were one of your wrestlers out there you would've been pissed too, don't tell you wouldn't have.
As far as our coach goes, he's a man, sometimes even preachers lose control. Coaches don't come unglued from your way, really? Please enlighten me on who was coaching your wrestlers last year when we wrestled your team?

This is wrestling .....plain and simple.......yes its ok to get upset if you lose....if your wrestler loses.......but to get mad at the kid that beat him in a clean match.....and it was a "CLEAN MATCH" thats just wrong.......I have seen kids get bit........kicked in the face........thrown from one side of the mat to the other..........mean dirty wrestling.........yes thats something to get mad about..........but this was just wrestling. Maneese took it easy on the kid, like I said before ........he didnt throw him, didnt cross face him hard, didnt torque his arm behind him............he took it easy with him....... CLEAN WRESTLING. Dont make your wresltler feel bad about losing......use it as a learning tool to pump him up........work hard on and off season......give him a goal. And just so you know.....I have seen Maneese get beat like that .........its been awhile but....its happened. Guess what.......he shook the opposing wrestlers hand......shook the opposing coaches hand and then went to work on getting better. THATS WRESTLING!

"Mouse Trap........now theres a game......you roll the dice.......... you move your mice.........nobody gets hurt!" as quoted by BOB the Tomato.

Cut Clearfork & Manesse a break. When you come from a losing program as he did, to a program that doesnt have a great history of success but is experiencing it finally...sometimes winning, and doing it in a classy way, is part of that learning curve for both him and the program.

Clearfork nor Maneese need to be cut a break ..........they have not done anything that would not represent Clearfork with class...........anyone that knows Maneese already knows that. As you do "matmaster".

Maneese did nothing wrong. One upset mother, who accuses him of having no class, anonomously bashes him, a high school student, (which is classless) and that's what this is about. Maneese did not taunt the Dalton wrestler nor did he "grin" at his teammates. That is a downright lie!!! He wrestled the kid clean. Yes, he could have ended it sooner and perhaps should have but he didn't. Anyone who knows Maneese knows he is a quiet and humble young man. In no way would he ever nor did he intend to taunt the other wrestler.
Getting on any forum and bashing a kid is totally classless!
Best of luck to the Dalton wrestling program. You guys wrestled hard and have a lot to be proud of. It is unfortunate that this has turned ugly.

This is nuts calling out a kid by name. Maneese is a great kid. He is far from being a hotdog. This thread should be closed.

In all reality, Dalton fans, you know i support you. But coming from a somewhat successful wrestling community, sometimes it is crucial for the kids to get that 6 minutes of mat time and work on moves. It is unfortunate that it was one of your kids, but it does happy. A good example is our 189, he has not been scored upon this year. He needs the extra mat time to prepare for the seasons finale, as he really dont break a sweat pinning kids in the 1st :30.
