However, now that you mention it, as others have noted, he is fortunate the illegal slam call did not hold. Opponents must be returned to the mat in a safe and controlled fashion. He did neither. Not endorsing wimpy stuff, just the rules.

I'm also not sold on the fact that he'll be a super-successful wrestler in college, especially at the big 10 level. I'm willing to be proven wrong, though I generally haven't been wrong about much lately. I said he likely wouldn't pin his was through Sectionals, Districts, OR States, let alone all of them. As I recall, I was amongst the only one to make that point abundantly clear. I was correct on all 3 counts.

He's had a lot of success in HS because he's been generally older and stronger than just about everyone he's wrestled. That won't be true in college. Especially if (big IF) he were able to get into a place like Michigan (tough academic school), he'd be facing Big 10 competition. Again, not saying it can't/won't happen. I'm willing to be proven wrong. Law of averages says I can't go on being right forever.

Never intended to offend. I'm growing weary of all this banter anyway. I'll move along and leave others to worship in peace. If the young man gets a Michigan offer (or comparable) and gets accepted, I'll be back to eat as much crow as anyone wants to serve....

Which is certainly your right. It doesn't however, explain why you came on here maintaining that his championship was tainted by being the beneficiary of two questionable calls/no calls, when virtually no one else who was there seemed to see what you saw.
