Mulva,

The problem with weighting Vick's numbers more because it was a close game completely ignores the fact that Green Bay was blowing out Washington because Aaron Rodgers was putting up ridiculous numbers and blew out the game in the first half. I think he had 3 TD's and 320+ yards in the first half alone (up 24-0 at halftime). Essentially he's getting less credit because he was being too effective and blowing the game wide open too early.

Seattle's defense is just nasty. If Harvin comes back healthy they're going to be a tough, tough out.

Pete Carroll has built a hell of a defense in Seattle.

Aaron Rodgers:

34/42, 480 yards, 4 TD's, 0 INT's, team won 38-20

Michael Vick

23/36, 428 yards, 2 TD's, 0 INT's, 6 rushes for 23 yards and 1 rushing TD, team lost 33-30

Aaron Rodgers QBR: 80.9

Michael Vick QBR: 81.5
This is why QBR is a joke. Last week about 4 or 5 QBs had a higher QBR than Peyton manning, and that includes Andy dalton. What a fucking joke.

Its entertaining watching Seattle home games. Their fans get fired up and into the game, unlike the apathetic and spoiled fans in some cities such as pittsburgh

Pretty sure this "stat" was created by Trent Dilfer. Nuff said....

He was 8-19 for 142 yards. Just because he made a couple good plays doesn't mean he had a good game.

I thought Dilfer was the guy behind the whole concept that Super Bowl wins define who's a great QB. Since that's the only way he'd even be considered remotely close to average.

A couple of idiot 49er's fans complained that the Seahawk fans were too loud and propose a rule that if a team is too loud on too many occasions they lose the rest of their home games.

It's good for a laugh.

The following is an excerpt from an interview chicagosports.com did with former NFL referee Jerry Markbreit in 2004:

" There is a rules procedure set up for crowd noise when the visiting team cannot hear signals because of the noise. If, in the opinion of the referee, and after a signal from the quarterback, the noise is so loud that play cannot continue, the game is stopped and an announcement is made to the crowd in an attempt to quiet things down. After a second announcement and an appeal to the home team to assist in quieting the crowd, and if the noise does not subside, the home team is charged a timeout. The only time a 5-yard penalty would be assessed is when the home team is out of timeouts. This is a very complicated procedure, and you are correct in that it has not been used in years. The quarterbacks are experts at dealing with crowd noise and rarely, if ever, appeal to the referee. The quarterback knows that if he does not get the play off because of the disturbance, that the crowd will get louder. Consequently, quarterbacks find a way to let the game continue, regardless of the noise. "
