Wont stop the thuggaz and playaz from spinning the ball. Worse is the 10 yd break out after a routine stop and pounding the chest and raising the arms as if they made a TFL on the last play of the Super Bowl.

IggyPride00;1483456 wrote:Same could be said for the owners who traded off time for money. They have more cash in the pocket, but when you are losing important players to your team it hurts the teams chances on the field. To some owners that's fine, but I know there are more than a few that would trade a few bucks if it meant not losing key guys to injury because of the off time situation.

It's something I suspect both sides will re-evaluate the wisdom of when they have to hammer out the next CBA. The owners had to give them something, and since it wasn't money it was time off.
Well it was an easy concession for the owners to give up to the players. I don't really blame either side, as I am not so sure that they would have predicted that this many serious injuries would happen. It also ccould be just a coincidence as well.

These rules are ignorant, oh no please don't taunt someone and disrespect them by spinning a ball in a game where you're trying to physically destroy someone on every play.

I can see not doing it after a normal play and it be a penalty...but after a TD....let them spin the fucking ball.

Ya, the reports are that league is just emphasizing the spinning when talking to a couple of teams.

Most celebrations after a big play don't bother me. As others have mentioned in this thread, it's the celebrations after making a normal tackle, or a normal catch.

STFU already.

But why is he bothering with this, among other non issues, constantly?

Micro managers are annoying as shit, regardless of what it's about.

Agreed.

I've been micro-managing my football coaches all week. I'm a head freshmen coach and my assistants are not getting it done. I keep telling them they need to maximize reps and leave the standing around talking to another time. Every time I look at them, they're standing around talking. Fuck. If you can't explain simple things in 5 minutes, you suck. 5 minute explanation. Then let the kids rep it. If individual kids struggle. Pull them out, let the others rep, and talk to the kid who is struggling. Slowing down the whole damn team.

I really don't think what goodell is doing is micro management, however I do fucking hate micromanagement. Creates a horrible office environment.

Thanks for clearing that up.

What's with receivers going to new teams and bitching about their old team?

First it was Jennings who still can't manage to shut up even though his new team told him to shut up.

Then we have Welker crying about how Bill Belichick hurt his feelings and criticized him in front of the rest of the team.

Ya, they have been prima donnas for a while as far as position stereotypes go. I just thought they were starting to get past that...

My mistake.

Serious question - if the penalty is assessed on the kick off, do any of these players really care?

If we're talking about a celebration penalty after a TD, the team getting penalized would be the kicking team. Which means they will be less likely to get a TB.

Yeah, I had a former boss who was a total micro manager and a neurotic spaz on top of that. When he finally quit (due to stress, lol), I actually held a celebration, since I'd never have to put up with him again.

I don't watch a lot of Steelers football, but does this even matter? I clicked on the article and it said he had 3 receptions in 4 games last year and he's 36. It sounds like he's washed up.

Probably their 5th WR, but still. WR isn't necessarily a strength for the Steelers, but after losing Wallace in FA, it can't help.

Mine is done at the end of the month. Our entire department has all of a sudden become refreshed and moral was immediately boosted after she announced her resignation. It's fucking crazy.

Speaking of video games, CJ hit dat R1 button on that run last night.
